I am always buying books for my son, especially in what his interest are in, so the other day I came across the book Ichthyology, my son is big into fishing. Many trophies, awards ect.
So I leave the book on his bed, he comes to me later laughing, of course he has my curiosity, and I ask ok, give what is so funny……Mom, you need to tell Stuart that he has it all wrong
From one Prince to another….. the following
According to evolutionary theory, which is based on evidence including fossils, comparative anatomy, embryology, and genetics, fishes have a distant place in the ancestry of man. Their presence on earth antedates man's ape like ancestors by some 400 million years and all other vertebrates by more than 100 million years. Without piscine ancestry, man might never have evolved. It further reads that this is due to the basic functions of the ten organ system.

Back then our arms and legs were lobed fins. It is interesting that the anatomy of lungfish has changed very little even though its DNA has changed hugely in all that time.
Of course us princes and princesses have gone through many massive changes, which I guess is down to our ancestors moving onto the land where the environment is much more varied.
Even cooler than our common ancestry with modern fish is the evolutionary history of the cetaceans. Their ancestors emerged from the sea, walked on the land then went back to the sea, which is why whales, dolphins and other marine mammals have pelvic bones:

Then of course the discussion went to who is the better fish, he calling me big nose, sissy fish, his comment of well how would you keep your tiara on straight was the last straw, told him he best be a great hunter, due to he will be finding his own supper for tonight.
I wanted to speak to him about the Endocrine system and the similarities, however, his mind was more on was shark attacks dolphin mode.
It seems that ancient cultures that depict half human half animal were not far off as science is today, for the theory of evolution would consider this possible would it not.
Did you ever ponder on why when animals came to land they decided to go back to the sea, could they have been the first revolutionist of the time.
Interesting fact of the lungfish, also what is interesting there are many forms of evolution as there are denominations. Truly Prince how do you keep them all in place.
October 10, 2011 at 9:55 pm#260449StuParticipantBut us human animals really have only one “form” of evolution! There are minor scraps about which mechanism is more important, but the range of disagreement is less than you would find inside just one of the 39,000 christian cults.
Princes should definitely be dolphins not sharks. Sharks technically don't have a backbone, and dolphins are much more intelligent.

Which I still find amusing this day.
I am going to brag a bit, he had his first unassisted quarterback tackle last game, and tonight he had forgotten his english vocab words, had to bring them back by memory from his first class and yes, he remembered them all. He seems to balance life well at this stage.
I see no harm in a person not only to be able to create but also know how to put it together with their own hands.
Well dear Prince, start my newly promoted position tomorrow, building it from the ground up, very excited. I may not be on as much as usual. But do not think for a moment that they day will pass without thoughts of you.
Take care of yourself dear Prince.
October 11, 2011 at 4:14 am#260487StuParticipantGood luck with it!
