Whatever you say, there is one true God.
Then you have the Greek usage of theos without the article. This is neither a way to identify or signify only the one true God. It is a quality or nature and we know that God shares his nature and attributes.
Just as there is one Spirit there are also many spirits. But God is the father of spirits.
So all the polytheist taunts should really be reserved for those who believe that there are 3 people who are the one true and Most High God. This is the most ironic part of it.
