I am sorry chap. I didn't realize that your first post was intended to
teach your doctrine rather than to have a discourse on the subject of hell.
It is apparent that you chose to believe what man has written rather than
what the scriptures have to say that have been shown to you.Keep in mind that much of what you posted by Baxter was to indorse the sale of a book.
Hell is a deception of man, but I believe that God allows that deception
and will not punish those that are deceived.Peace to you,
Tim

Don't you mean, Baxter? I've never read the Inferno but have heard about it. Aren't there different levels of hell or something in the story? Baxters gave me that impression, but also the impression that she was lying. Was that directly from Dante's Inferno? I think that she made it up, but who am I to judge?August 2, 2007 at 10:22 am#62809TimothyVIParticipantQuote (acertainchap @ Aug. 02 2007,00:12) Quote (TimothyVI @ Aug. 01 2007,09:58) what this man described is not biblical. No, I meant the man that described his 23 minutes in hell.I have responded to your PM but it was returned to me as undeliverable. Not sure why.

It seems to me that you are plain superstitious, and I don't mean that in an offencive way.
It almost sounds like you are afraid to believe the truth. You have been given many scriptures from others and myself that teach the truth; why do you insist on believing nonsense? The word of God is truth, the truth will set you free, not the imagination of dreamers. If you trust the word of men more then the word of God, then there is nothing any one of us can do for you.

Greetings Irene…..Hell,Hades,and Gehenna are very prominent throughout scripture the good news is these were discriptions of various holes in the ground used in some cases for the burning of garbage and in others the storage of food stuffs( eg.potatoes)….The lake of fire will be a reality in the final days of judgement…..We should all thank God that the hell described in Dantes' Inferno is not open yet and probably never will be…The dead sleep,The dead know nothing, they are just dead….they are not stringing harps on clouds or burning in hell fire….they are just dead….In the days of white throne or final judgement everybody who ever lived will be given a chance to live under Gods government in his kingdom and will experience the presense of God….Unfortunately there will be those who refuse…they will cease to exist and will be consumed by fire and not suffer torment..the torment will be the absense of God….We worship a mercifull God who wants us to love our enemies why would he be so vengfull and take pleasure or even will eternal suffering……with the exception of the Beast and the false prophet who will be consumed in the lake of fire as well, however, they were the manesfestation of satan who is spirit and cannot be destroyed…they will suffer torment…August 21, 2009 at 2:54 pm#141688CindyParticipantQuote (theodorej @ Aug. 22 2009,01:16) Quote (Cindy @ Aug. 21 2009,11:39) Maranatha I am bringing this up for you, to show what some of our Brethren believe about Hell. I agree with most of your post, however Jesus was a Spirit being like the Angels and Satan too. He became a Man and died. So IMO they too can die. IMO we should not limit God, I believe God the Father can do everything and anything. Jesus created all by the power of the Father. Also what purpose would there be to keep them around somewhere in the Universe? Maybe we will have an input with others. I would be interesting to see what all believe.

Greetings Irene…… The sacrafice that was Jesus is what affords us the mercy in the ressurection that gives all the opportunity to change…..once they live under the government of God…they being, all who have died and were raised in the white throne will have to make a decision…This pertains to flesh…spirit is spirit….and the beast and the false prophet are the manesfestation of satan and they will be destroyed in the lake of fire….whether the lake of fire translates to eternal torment or not is the perogative of God and Iam not capable nor worthy to speak to that….August 21, 2009 at 8:01 pm#141711CindyParticipanttheodoreij I don't think you got my point. and since He was a Spirit like the Angels and Satan, I believe that God will destroy them in the Lake of Fire. That has nothing to do with capable or worthy to say so. I do respect the Office of our Father, don't get me wrong, but what is written is written. Making me look like I don't I hope was not your point.

Anti-Christ is a Human being not a Spirit. God the Father has created all through Jesus, and you believe that God cannot do away with them and destroy them? God can do anything, why are you limiting Him?
1 Timothy 6:16 who alone has immortality dwelling in Him irreproachable whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be Honor, and everlasting power. Amen.
Nobody has seen the Father or heard His voice.
He is the only one that cannot die, and IMO Jesus Christ too.
It says that He has received divinity, after His dead and resurrection.
When I asked Georg about this, He kind of chuckled. He too believes that God can do away with them, since He created all.

no, if She will not look at it, it will go away like so many in this Bibical Prophecy Treads. I am really surprised that nobody seems to be interested in Prophecy. My Husband has studied many hours on all the subjects He posted without anybodies reply.

The “beast” simply means, all man-made kingdoms/governments, and the “false prophet” means, all man-made/false religion; they all will be destroyed, thrown into the lake of fire.
That is what the lake of fire emphasizes, total and everlasting destruction of whatever, and who ever ends up in it.Georg
August 23, 2009 at 12:14 pm#141879karmarieParticipantHmmm I agree Irene. I used to study Islam and Christianity and the eternal burning hell part I didnt question or even give it any thought. All I knew was that I didnt want to go there!
Then one day I was thinking about it and I asked my mother “We never asked to come into this world, its hell enough as it is, why does God send people to eternal hell? ” she got angry with that question , she said “Its not God that does that its the devil” I said “so is the devil stronger than God?” she said in an uncertain way “no” I said “so if Jesus is the only way to be saved, according to you, what about all the Muslims, are they going to hell? she said “well if they havent given their heart to Jesus, then the bible says that” I said ” but they just believe what theyre taught, since theyre little, its not their fault!”. So I said “what if I was in hell?” she said “Well I wouldnt be very happy” (she nervously laughed) I said “but you'l be in heaven, happy!”. She couldnt answer that and just sort of looked embarrased. The more I thought about it the more disturbed I got.
I didnt want to go to heaven if people were to be tortured for ever! Id rather be tortured with them thats just the way I am. I thought what hypocrytes! Its like people just loving God to get to heaven and avoid hell. It nearly turned me off religeon completly!
But I started looking at different viewpoints, and learned that many Christian churches dont believe or teach this lie. Seventh day adventist, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican etc, and I learned how it all came about as a translation error.
I thought about how God would feel. How would I feel if people told lies about me. Like if someone said that I tortured my children! How awful. What it would do is cause alot of damage and cause many not to like me. Satan, a lier from the beginning.
Imagine being with someone you just dont like at all, and they force you to love them, otherwise they will hurt you, any love you show wont be genuine. Its not true love. This verse sums it up for me..
1 John 4
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
13We know that we live in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. The true fear of the Lord isnt to do with fear of punishment, its instead a fear of awe! I love God because he loved me, because I have felt Gods love, because God guides and teaches me, because I want to jump into Gods arms of protection whenever im afraid, because look what God created! Look what God can do and how powerfull he is!
“blessed is he who lays down his life for another”, That is just what Jesus did, He died to save us all. What a great example of Gods love! and I thank the Lord so much for showing me this!!!
Peace and love
