No, WJ:God the Father calls him God because he is the express image of his person, but the revelation to humanity relative to Jesus from God the Father is that he is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
1 Co. 8:6 makes this plain.
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

Once you understand that sonship is by sharing the Spirit and that Jesus became a son when he was given the Spirit at the Jordan then there is no conflict.The anointing Spirit is the Word.
Thus Jesus became the Word.
The Word was God.
