Hebrews 13:12-14 (niv)-12And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. 13Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. 14For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come.
Lately..I have really been studying and praying on the power and meaning of this scripture…
To me…this scripture is saying that Jesus went OUTSIDE the city (or camp) to suffer..What is the city or camp referred to here?
It is the “city” (“camp”) of…traditions of men…oppresive burdensome law…organized religion which goes beyond what is written…and Paul here emplores us to do the same…
Paul is telling us to go forth to Jesus outside the city or camp…Why OUTSIDE the city?…
Because Christ can not be found in traditions of men…burdensome law…and organized religion operating outside what is written…
He is located outside of these things…only thru God's spirit can we unify our location with his…

Perhaps it reminds us of the scapegoat of Lev16?21″Then Aaron shall lay both of his hands on the head of the live goat, and (V)confess over it all the iniquities of the sons of Israel and all their transgressions in regard to all their sins; and he shall lay them on the head of the goat and send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who stands in readiness.
22″The goat shall bear on itself all their iniquities to a solitary land; and he shall release the goat in the wilderness.

I just found a really powerful song (on itunes) that echoes this. It is called “Outside” by Luke Wood. Most of his stuff is really great. They (the songs) really drive you into deeper prayer. Check it out. It is rare to find such powerful worship.

Huh ,Ends up more pleased with that one… than the 99 sheep that stayed comfortable, yet comfortable in the most danger
because they have no keeper, while he is gone? Many would say departing is to get away from fellowship
only for the defiant …called the “astrayMat 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh that which is gone astray?
And if so be that he find it, verily I say unto you, he rejoiceth more of that [sheep], than of the ninety and nine which went not astray.O how backterfront that is..enough to drive the fearers of Law..insane with rage

Yes, but we need to be a sheep first and not a goat. Then Christ will go after that sheep, because the Father has given Him to Jesus and He has promised that He will not loose any sheep.

Please I am so over the pathetic mess.. Sorry no goats in these scriptures…that would have to belong to other tribes. Here… what’s your heritage & seed that which remains within?
That which is the generation of the children, us?And there is only one shepherd?
Some tribes think Jesus is the shepherd leader of the children generation, some say David Leader of the father generations, some have anyone they want watch over them with the .reflection of the wolfThe bible is so large in widths of Ideas, there is hardly a man that is able to get his head around it..
Ahhh God save A King

Huh?June 12, 2008 at 6:38 pm#92483ShaniaParticipantThere's a loneley road that leads to brokenness.
It's the way to the high and holy placeIf that's where you are, that's where I wanna be.
I'll follow your fragrance outside the gates,
Tell me, where do your tears fall tonight?Lead me outside these city walls
That I've built to keep myself safe
Take me up the mountain of myrrh
As long as you're here, I'll stay
Tell me your name again but this time let wonder arise
This is the safest place to be
when the world starts fallingI wanna cry with you, when the world starts falling
I'll die with you, when the world starts falling…Don't let me stumble while your heart is breaking,
Wake me up to feel what you feel…Wake me up from the American Dream; I wanna be with you
For better or worse“Outside”
By Luke Wood.Thought it was fitting!

I’m sorry; I know at times it is as almost impossible to understand, as it is as almost impossible to ex-plan.It’s a time factor, Natural, not semester.
Some times a few words travel miles.
Sometimes not
sometimes grammar??
sometimes not

June 13, 2008 at 1:57 am#92549NickHassanParticipantHi DK,
The new Jerusalem?[Rev21]June 13, 2008 at 1:58 am#92550NickHassanParticipantcont
Heb 12
22But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,23To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
24And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.
June 13, 2008 at 6:15 am#92588Not3in1ParticipantLet's see, if they are outside the city gate – that means they are not inside the city gate…..riiiiiiight?
June 13, 2008 at 6:22 am#92590Not3in1ParticipantMary had a little lamb, little lamby, little lamby………
June 13, 2008 at 6:23 am#92591Not3in1ParticipantSo there was this gate. It was outside the gate of the city.
The city has more than one gate though. One was in and and the other one was out.
The gate that was “out” had developed GATE ENVY.
June 13, 2008 at 6:24 am#92593Is 1:18ParticipantA gate complex?
June 13, 2008 at 6:25 am#92594Not3in1ParticipantVery complex.
They had to eventually tear down the gate that was inside the city and move it to the outside.
It's a long story……
June 13, 2008 at 6:27 am#92595ShaniaParticipantI know you can be overwhelmed, and I know you can be underwhelmed… Can you ever just be “whelmed”
