The fastest growing religion, Islam, teaches that God has not a son. Thus, they deny the Father and the Son making that religion antichrist. The Roman Catholic Church teaches that Jesus is God, thus they subtly deny the Father and the Son because one is meant to be God and the other the Son of God. If the Son of God is God, then you deny the Son of God.
This world has enough false doctrine for every man, woman, and child. Do not be deceived and follow the teachings of men and the mainstream. The truth is in scripture that is where you will find it. Do not trust in man, trust in the one who inspired scripture.
Be not of the world @DavidL. Many are those who are ensnared in false religion who are zealous for their religion. Zeal doesn’t save you, but zeal for the truth may well lead you there.

If you had simply taken your own advice, I would not be here contending against you..
April 6, 2015 at 8:28 am#792925NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
He offers scripture but you contend against him for the sake of what is of man.
April 6, 2015 at 1:37 pm#792982ProclaimerParticipantIt is true what you say Nick.
April 6, 2015 at 1:38 pm#792983ProclaimerParticipantIf you had simply taken your own advice, I would not be here contending against you..
Yet you attack me for these true scriptures. You must be asleep to not see it.
Time to wake up as time is also part of God’s grace. It will be retracted at some point if you continue to ignore these central truths.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.
Now I want you to realize that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is man, and the head of Christ is God.
It is one thing to ignore these central truths, but quite another to persecute those who teach it. Why do you persecute Yeshua?
April 6, 2015 at 1:56 pm#792990kerwinParticipantt8,
If a Trinitarian is unwilling to see it when Jesus calls states he has the same God and Father as his brothers I doubt Trinitarian will see any better when you quote any other passage. I know Trinitarians refuse to recognize their teaching is blaspheme because it God of being tempted by evil.
April 7, 2015 at 5:58 am#793035DavidLParticipantYet you attack me for these true scriptures. You must be asleep
Listen to the testimony of Scripture, instead of cherry-picking verses to suit your false doctrine..!
“I and the Father are ONE.”
“If you have seen Me you have seen the Father.”
“The Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Jesus and the Father are united together as one – you cannot have One without the Other…
The very verses you use to refute this, actually CONFIRM it…!!
“This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”
“That they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.”
So who is asleep..?
Listen to the words of Jesus again – “I AND THE FATHER ARE ONE.”
April 7, 2015 at 6:32 am#793044NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
One in the Spirit.
God is Spirit.
“Now the Lord is the Spirit”
April 7, 2015 at 6:33 am#793045DavidLParticipantyes the Spirit too – very good..!
April 7, 2015 at 8:43 am#793065ProclaimerParticipant“I and the Father are ONE.”
I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.
Jesus specifically prayed that we too could partake in that oneness too.
“If you have seen Me you have seen the Father.”
He is the image of the invisible God.
Notice he is not that God, but looks like that God, (because God is his Father).
“The Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
Jesus answered them, “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”‘?
Both John 1:1 and this verse have the word ‘theos’ without the definite article. The verse is obviously not saying that they were theos/God.
In order to divide the Word of God correctly, you need to delve into the original language sometimes, always read context, and compare scriptures with other instances of the same word and sentence construction.
If you start with a predefined belief, you end with it because of bias. Then all scripture is twisted toward your own way of thinking. For me it matters not what God is in the sense that I am not here to define God by my own terms, rather I let scripture tell me who God is and of course knowing him is even more important.

you understand this about others – but what you fail to realize is the predefined belief in your own teaching…!!!!
all your Scriptures are twisted towards your anti-trinity bias…there is a huge anti-trinity ‘log’ stuck in your vision, but all-the-while you keep on saying, ‘let me get that trinity speck out of YOUR thinking..’ !!!!
Now, you’re seeing specks in everyone that aren’t even there…!!!!
I give you Scripture – but all you see is Catholic dogma….!!!!
April 8, 2015 at 8:41 am#793204NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
There is no trinity.
Scripture never mentions one.
How can you have a bias against something that does not exist??
April 8, 2015 at 8:51 am#793207DavidLParticipantHi nickhassan
If there is no trinity
and Scripture never mentions one
is it wrong then to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit ?
April 8, 2015 at 8:52 am#793208NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
Why would you?
Acts demonstrates it is not the right way
And Paul showed the name you are baptised in matters[acts 19]
April 8, 2015 at 8:55 am#793210DavidLParticipantSo is it wrong..?
April 8, 2015 at 8:59 am#793212NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
Misguided and useless.
“Repent and let each of you be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins..”
April 8, 2015 at 9:12 am#793214DavidLParticipantso…aren’t you also interpreting Scripture according to your own predefined belief (rather than letting Scripture confirm Scripture)..?
Scripture says, “..baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
it also says, “..simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.”
Does one annul the other ?
..or have you missed the reality of Jesus because of your own anti-trinity bias..?
If the fullness of the Deity (or Godhead) dwells in Jesus Christ – then to be baptized in the name of Jesus IS really the same as being baptized in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit…In Christ we receive the Father and the Spirit also…!!
April 8, 2015 at 9:25 am#793216NickHassanParticipantHi Davidl,
You could try to make scripture argue against itself.
Obedience is more helpful
April 8, 2015 at 9:26 am#793217NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
If God dwells IN Jesus Christ why would you want to make him God??
April 8, 2015 at 9:27 am#793218NickHassanParticipantHi davidl,
God, the Father, is in heaven.
You can know Him through His Spirit on earth
