    Hi Stu,
You must be a sad man because negativity is your best offering.
Judgement on my service is not mine or yours to grant.

I'm actually quite joyful. I do have a real life outside of forum you know  :;):. This is just a spare time thing as I rarely watch TV.

But you constantly go after me rather than addressing the content of my posts, so you shouldn't feel offended when someone does the same to you.

    Hi KJ,

    Hi Stu,
So along the same lines as Adolf and Benito?

    Hi Stu,
So the great big melting pot has not coughed up a lot of quality really and we needed a saviour from ourselves.

How has that savior improved anything, seriously? Is the world a better place now than before Jesus came? Did not the death of Jesus result in the death of thousands — perhaps even millions — of other people afterwards? Christians killing Jews, Trinitarians killing Unitarians, Catholics and Protestants killing each other…

    Hi KJ,
    Exactly,
Most have not listened to the gospel of grace and the rule of Satan among men is still strongly evident in the fruit.

It is also the evidence of those who let faith in words of men who say they know God's will, overrule their common sense and morals.

    Hi cato,
Bert was the man whose last words were about life being a series of cups of coffee.
You need to either decide if Jesus was a madman or an envoy from God.
You cannot sit on the fence.

Commonsense is helpful as a form of wisdom.
Morals either are from God or from the design of men.

    Luke 18:8

No, but you often seem confused as to who you are addressing. Your response quoted above came right after this post of mine:

    Quote (kejonn @ Mar. 21 2008,02:52)

So your present servitude is all about your hope to rule one day? What a selfish thought. Its all about you?

So mentioning “my service” directly after I said “your present servitude” was quite obviously a response to me. This is not the first time you've addressed one person but used another's username.

IOW, no real measurable benefit, perhaps even a hindrance. The only benefit has no evidence of ever materializing. Not much of a savior then.

Likely not, especially 1000 years from now when Jesus still has not returned.

Just hang out and look to the sky? Nah, God would have me do better things with the life I'm giving besides pine away waiting on nothing.

    Hi KJ,
The God you speak of has certain about has certain expectations for you.
Respect for Him and His son and His Word for a start.

Did you know Bertrand Russell personally, well enough to shorten his first name in this way? Was he actually called Bert to his friends? Are you confusing him with the songwriter?

Here you ignore the fact that the actual words spoken by Jesus, if he existed, are not recorded by an eyewitness, and your gospel is not written until at least 40 years after his supposed execution, the interim filled with nothing but Saul of Tarsus for whom living in a private fantasy world cannot be ruled out as his reality You ignore the option that says he was neither a madman nor an envoy from god.

Commonsense says that once men have been hung out on a cross and have stopped breathing they will not walk again. Commonsense says that you need two human biological parents. Commonsense says that your shoes will not displace enough water for the buoyancy force to support your bodyweight and you will sink into water. Commonsense also says that we should pay attention when scholars say that ancient writing tended to be allegorical and not literal.

    Neither, actually.

Which is your assumption, one that is contradicted by commonsense and is unverifiable. Unless you hear voices. Do you hear voices?

    Hi Stu,
    I agree.
The resurrection is beyond normal human experience.
So either you accept that what is usual is all that is possible or there is a God.

The ressurection is impossible, not just unusual, or beyond our experience. You repeatedly refuse to say how you verify your scripture. All we can conclude is that your show of certainty is a bluff. Why does your god demand you believe things that are not possible? If it is true, why does it have to be that ridiculous?

An edit to that last sentence, which does not carry my intent…
    please replace with:

If it is true, why do these things appear to us to be ridiculous?

    Hi Stu,
Miracles are commonplace in the recorded actions of our God among men.
The scientific mind believes what is, is all there is, or can be.
It is a sad extrapolation from their weak measures.

Why does your scripture claim truths that seem ridiculous? It is not just scientists who find your 'truth' hard to swallow.

1 in every 33 Anglican clergy does not believe there is a god.

Refer to the table half-way down on this page:
    http://www.religioustolerance.org/rel_comp.htm

No country on this list, not even the theocratic United States, can muster even 50% belief in miracles. Why is this obvious truth of your so unbelievably obscure?
