    Hi KJ,
    Ps 90 and 2Peter3

Yes Nick. It means that God does not mean it when He says that the time for something to be fulfilled is near.

Wake up Nick? It says that a thousand years is as one day with the Lord and not with us.

Satan is crushed under the feet of Christians now and at the time of Paul.

So God did not really crush satan under the feet of Christians in Paul's time? It seems as if you view satan as some sort of cartoon character that keeps getting crushed and in the next scene is whole again as if nothing happened. Remember the Roadrunner and the Coyote cartoons? The Coyote's booby trap would backfire and the anvil would fall and crush him instead of the Roadrunner. In the next scene the Coyote is back at his mischief just as whole as he was before the anvil crushed him.

Is this how you view God's having “crushed” satan under THEIR feet?

Paul assured the saints of his time that God would crush satan under THEIR feet SHORTLY (Rom. 16:20). The Greek word for “crushed” means “broken in pieces.” When something is “crushed” it is finished, done and totally inoperable! Satan does not operate in the world today unless he is some kind of cartoon character. But satan is a real person and not a cartoon character. Therefore, he ceased to be operable after God “crushed” him.

Futurism goes contrary to common sense!

God has crushed Satan under many believer's feet many times over the years.

the usage of the word satan here indicates not the devil himself but rather his influences.   Our adversary, the devil, will continue to be the cause of death and destruction, stealing, killing and destroying until the events described in the book of Revelation come to pass.

That the god of this world is still active in this world is clearly seen, and reported on.  See the daily news reports.

However, it is available for a believer to negate the works of satan.  As we believe God's Word, we can not only rise above the insanity in this world, but with the light of God's word, dispel the darkness that Satan causes.  Does light dispel darkness?
Can good overcome evil?  Does God want us to be healthy and prosperous?  Yes, yes and yes.  Does our adversary want to steal, kill and destroy us?  Can we stop him?  Yes and yes. How? By believing God's word.  God has a cure for every ailment that our adversary sneeks into our lives.

God is our deliverer from satan's devices.

Maybe this background will clarify this issue for you.

Satan is not immortal dude! Neither is he the coyote cartoon character. You have absolutely no scriptural support for your outrageous theory. Satan was crushed ONCE FOR ALL under the feet of the FIRST Christians (Romans 16:20).
