In the 10 weeks prophesied by Enoch, if this is similar to the 70 weeks of Daniel in which 1 week equals 7 years, how long is each week? I tried 700 years to the week, which doesn’t seem to work out past the first week: Since Enoch was born about the 622nd year, and the first week from 0 to 700 years, this would fit, but the second week which tells of the first end (the flood) was about the 1656th year.

When you figure each week at 1000 years, it comes out better, because the plant of Righteous Judgement (David) was about the 2996th year, which would come out right at the close of the third week (2000-3000). Jesus was at about the 3996th year and the 4th week was from 3000 to 4000 where AD starts at and it it says the law for all generations would come at the end of this week. From there on, I can’t seem to make anything match up: the 5th week at its close was supposed to be where the house of glory and dominion shall be built forever (Somewhere around 1000 AD). Can someone else figure what this means, or am I completely off in my figures?

    Sincerely,

    Dan Holt

I was thinking that it meant 10,000 years, I think each week represents a 1000 years. The reason I say this is because there is a verse in the book of Enoch that describe how the watchers are confine for 10,000 years in the abyss, and the last week, the 10th, mention describe thier judement.

Anyway, thats what i got out of it.
below is from the book of Enoch

    XCI.12-17. The Last Three Weeks.
    15
And after this, in the tenth week in the seventh part,
There shall be the great eternal judgement,
In which He will execute vengeance amongst the angels.
    =============================================
Here is where it saids the watchers are in prison for 10K years.

XVII-XXXVI. Enoch's Journeys through the Earth and Sheol.
    XVII-XIX. The First Journey.

    14
and to me, when I inquired regarding them, The angel said: 'This place is the end of heaven and
    15
earth: this has become a prison for the stars and the host of heaven. And the stars which roll over the fire are they which have transgressed the commandment of the Lord in the beginning of
    16
their rising, because they did not come forth at their appointed times. And He was wroth with them, and bound them till the time when their guilt should be consummated (even) for ten thousand years.'

    Welcome x,

Thank you for your very helpful contributions. We look forward to more insights from you. Do you have a concordance for Enoch?

I just recently read the entire book of Enoch and it seems to answer many questions that I had in my mind.

In the book of Enoch, edited by RH Charles; it states that the ten weeks is a corruption of text. Originally it was 7 weeks. Im sorry but I will not be able to answer any more questions for now. Michael.
