I don't remember ever hearing it called the Darwin Dilemma but the so called solution to this situation is that creatures evolved faster. There limited evidence is based on one line of living creature and then applied to all of them. It is a poor example of logical reasoning even if the premise is sound for the one line of creatures studied. I also am not sure how such a premise much less the conclusion can be tested; which is a requirement of the scientific method of learning.
I find it interesting that Scientist are admitting that many kinds of creatures found today happened at a relatively short time.
I think even that conclusion is illogical given the sparsity of evidence in the fossil record. At that length of time they are probably going by morphology, which is known to be unreliable.

This is how many deceptions work.

I believe that they did say that some had hypothesized it already but they made other hypothesis as well. It is not the scientific method but then history of any type is a soft science. It doesn't actually mean much except as a boost to the morale of those that chose to worship science and hold to the doctrines of evolution.
