For those who are determined to have the version where there is some kind of punishment that follows principles of justice, then surely the first of the genocidal, human rights-abusing, heartless fascist dictators that deserves to be flung on the inferno is the Judeo-christian god.

“Our God is a consuming fire.”
The fire is indeed permanent, but eventually
all the sin is going to get burned away.
(Read Isaiah 33:14-15 carefully)Q: Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire?
who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?A: He that walketh righteously, and speaketh uprightly; he that despiseth the gain of oppressions,
that shaketh his hands from holding of bribes, that stoppeth his ears from hearing
of blood, and shutteth his eyes from seeing evil; (Isaiah 33:14-15)God bless

This actually happened when I was younger, a lot of chatter went with the story however the fact remained he cut off his hand after reading this verse. By my understanding he did so by the use of an ax.
Needless to say the 'god says so in the bible' didn't go over so well, they admitted him to a psych facility.

Hi Stuart,Are you going to continue to glaze over the things I say,
and then continue in your unfounded atheist rants?1) Like the cause of Uzzah's accidental death.
2) Or like saying people remain in torment forever.
3) Or like there is no Proof of God(117), when there is.So again I ask: are you going continue in these unfounded rants?
God bless

Let me guess. Is the #2 type of person up for punishment the polytheist?Stuart

I posed a hypothetical story. A king has a subject who steals a bowl of fruit from him, so as a punishment , he has them burned with a hot iron for the rest of their lives
My friends thought that that was terrible and asked where the king was. I told them , in the Bible
Christianity today tells people that because theysin that God,the King, will torment them for ever
I then asked how could I enjoy Heaven when I know that unbelieving Family and Friends are being hurt
God is love, how can that be called love. He punishes people today for the sin of two people Adam and Eve
As I read through the OldTestament , I see that God punishes sin, but always with the aim of correction and to reconcile
Their is the “gift of Life” and the plan of God. For those who completely reject the plan of spiritual assention, there is only death, soul extinction. It will be as if they never lived. It's not a punishment, it's just that there isn't any place for them in Gods kingdom, they are in effect “unreal.” The materialist-atheist who insist he is just a machine, a chemical reaction devoid of transcendent spirit, who refuses spirit birth, is like an acorn that never become a tree. Such a stubborn soul becomes dust and the fragment of the Father that indwelt them returns for service in a new life somewhere else.Colter

I couldn't say that because many polytheists don't have the capacity to understand true Monotheism for instance many trinitarians don't understand Monotheism an that i why a gentile cannot be judged as a Jew is.December 8, 2012 at 6:03 am#323689terrariccaParticipantQuote (bodhitharta @ Dec. 06 2012,10:02) Quote (TimothyVI @ Dec. 01 2012,00:36) That sort of thing really disturbs me for many reasons. bodJust a little adjustment here;
we are judge for the things we have done good or bad ,,but also for the things we knew we should have done and did not do,
an hypocrite is something else I believe,
and I do believe that the judgment will be to our own from our conscience ;no lies allowed ,think it over and understand were the torment comes from

Apart from the “unreal” bit, which makes me sound a bit like a zombie in waiting, this is all I have ever expected from life and death, and in fact my knowledge of this is what gives my life its urgency and meaning.Quote The materialist-atheist who insist he is just a machine, a chemical reaction devoid of transcendent spirit, who refuses spirit birth, is like an acorn that never become a tree.
