Quote (Nick Hassan @ Feb. 28 2005,03:10) Hi cubes,
Very helpful. I guess as scripture speaks of the Abomination of desolation 'standing in the holy place' that suggests that the temple and 'holy place' has to be rebuilt first?
check Clarks commentary on this Da.9:27
and the other commentariesthe KJV 1611 reads Dan 9:27 And hee shall confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the midst of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of abominations hee shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation, & that determined, shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
Douary-Rheims bible reads Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many, in one week: and in the half of the week the victim and the sacrifice shall fail: and there shall be in the temple the abomination of desolation: and the desolation shall continue even to the consummation, and to the end.
the JPS reads Dan 9:27 And he shall make a firm covenant with many for one week; and for half of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the offering to cease; and upon the wing of detestable things shall be that which causeth appalment; and that until the extermination wholly determined be poured out upon that which causeth appalment.'
KJV reads Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Yeshus is going to rebuild the temple which he is himself,
and we know that Yeshua is the temple by this verse Jn 2:19 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”
and by this verse Rev 21:22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple
anoher meaning for wing H3671 is extremity; specifically (of a bird or army) a wing, overspeading,we make up th body(temple) of Messiah,
mybe he is saying in our Lord(temple) abominations( generally of anything contrary to the worship and religion of the Lord) will spead and continue until the time is full filled , and these abominations cause desolations
just a thought , I pray that the Holy Spirit will lead us in understanding in the name of Yeshua , amen

Kudos, Nashash:If I read your post, and I am pretty sure I did at the time, it totally went over my head. I didn't catch this significant point you made—seeing and not seeing, if you know what I mean. Funny how I stumbled onto the same understanding this past weekend in a discussion with Is 1:18 and Nick in another thread. (I think Nick did too).
The Third Temple is already in existence: The Body of Christ, with Yeshua as our Chief Cornerstone. I love how these things work out, how God teaches us by his spirit. Nick has started a forum on it.
Edited: Corrected spelling of Nashash's name.

If we are the third temple how can the abomination of desolation scriptures be fulfilled? Satan in the hearts of men in a false system of religion perhaps?September 8, 2006 at 3:08 am#41546NickHassanParticipantThis is topical.
July 16, 2007 at 5:23 pm#60081IM4TruthParticipantHi every one
I see this topic is two years old, but it is still an interesting topic. I only hope that some one will still look at it. I like to add my understanding to it.
Cubes; your post touches a lot of subjects.
The Dome of the rock is not the abomination; please read my topic “Dan. 9:27”, Scripture & Doctrine
page one.
The temple was destroyed, because God is building a new temple, not made with hands;
Heb. 9:11 “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building.”
2 Cor. 6:16 “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said; I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”
1 Pet. 2:5 “Ye also, as lively stones, are build up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.”
God no longer needs the old temple or the sacrifices that were performed in it; Christ did it once for all;
Heb. 10:10 “By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”Water is a reference to the truth, its a metaphor;
John 4:14 “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I will give shall never thirst; bu the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
John 7:37 “… Jesus stood and cried, saying, if any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.”
v. 38 “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of flowing living waters.”
When it comes as a flood, it destroyes.
Antichrist's water, false doctrines, came as a flood, they destroyed the teachings of Christ.A quick note to Nick's reply.
I agree, the woman in Rev. 12:13 is Israel
and Satan, after he was cast out of heaven;
Rev.12:9 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world; he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.”
Satan was angry with the woman, Israel, and renewed his efforts to destroy her;
v.17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with remnant of her seed, which keep (have) the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”To cubes again;
When Jesus said flee into the mountains, he did not mean the mountains of Judea. When the armies of Rome came in 70 A.D., they came to kill and destroy; fleeing into the mountains of Judea it would have not been a save place for them, remember the “Masada”?
Mountains is a metaphor for kingdoms, what Jesus was telling the people was, get away from the Romans, you're not save in their territory.Mat. 24:21 “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.”
v. 22 “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.”
This was a prophesy for the Jews worst tribulation period ever. And it happened during the second World War. Hitler tried to kill all the Jews, and had he won the war there would be no flesh -Jew- alive today. But Jesus said he would shorten the days, Germany lost, for the elect sakes;
Is. 45:4 “For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect,…”
Is. 65:22 “They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.”
Rom. 11:28 “As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.”2 Thes. 2:3+4, is a direct reference to Antichrist. He sat himself up as the Leader and Ruler over the temple of God, the saints. As the saints refused to obey him, and accept his doctrines, he persecuted them, tortured them and killed them. He was the cause for many would be saints to fall away, for fear of pain and death.
Take your time reading through it;
God bless
