Quote (Nick Hassan @ June 01 2007,11:15) Hi W,
So it was his own powers he worked in and not the anointing of God?
But acts 10 say
“38How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
NHYes I know NH! You believe he is just an empty shell and that he had no powers of his own!
The Father and the Son and the Spirit was at work at all times when he was in the earth.
Jesus saw the Father do and Jesus did!
Do you believe this?
The Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit is One God.
One Spirit, Three persons, One God!

Certainly it would be far more effective if he could find it written through the Spirit in the Word.

Actually it should be:“The Father and Son and the Holy Spirit “ARE” One God.”
WJ, is that what you meant to say?

He had the wisdom to choose to allow God to work through him.
We follow him.June 1, 2007 at 12:18 am#54313NickHassanParticipantHi W,

not3Thanks! Yes!
Actually my statement is very scriptural!
And no one bothers to challenge it!
Mainly because there is only One Spirit. Yet the Bible shows that the three persons of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit “Are” Wonderfully and Gloriously One Spirit!
Maybe you could give me new light on this not3?

There is one Spirit but the Trinity doctrine says that their are three in one. So what Spirit is the Holy Spirit in
Or is it that their are two in one Spirit? But that's not three in one, is it?
June 1, 2007 at 12:57 am#54322ProclaimerParticipantI suspect that answer would be something like:
There is one God, the Father, Son, Spirit.
The Father is Spirit, the son is Spirit, the Spirit is Spirit.
Not 3 Spirits but one Spirit.Of course anyone not brainwashed with this philosophy can see this foolishness for what it is.

I don't understand t8If three are in one Spirit and one of the three is a Spirit then what Spirit is that part of the Trio (Spirit) in
June 1, 2007 at 1:04 am#54325kenrchParticipantThat would be two Spirits wouldn't it. The Spirit that is part of the Trio and the Spirit that has all three

Just visit any of her, or her daughter's church on her dayOr you can just turn on the TV
You'll reconize her she will be dressed in scarlet and have on a long robe and claim to change bread into our Saviour's body and wine to His blood on the day the Pope made holy.

The Father and the Son are one. John 10:30.June 1, 2007 at 8:50 pm#54385Not3in1ParticipantDon't stop at verse 30…..read on……
June 1, 2007 at 9:06 pm#54388Tim2ParticipantJesus answered them, “If he called them gods, unto whom the Word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken; say ye of Him, Whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
“If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, though ye believe not Me, believe the works; that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in Him.”
June 1, 2007 at 9:11 pm#54390Not3in1ParticipantMy fault, Tim, what I meant was continue reading all the way until you get to John 17 where Jesus also says that WE can be “one” as he and his Father are “one.”
June 1, 2007 at 9:23 pm#54391Tim2ParticipantRight, John 17. I had an extensive discussion with David about this a month ago, and the conclusion I asserted, which no one has rejected yet, is that just as the Father and the Son are one God, the church should be one body and one spirit with the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6:17, 12:12.
John 17:21-22, “that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they may also be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me. The glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one.”
This proves that Jesus has the same nature as the Father. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense to compare the unity of men, who are all of the same nature, with two persons who were not of the same nature.
