    Hi not3,
So as a parent you judge God's plan?

Again, I am judging what the bible says about God. I don't believe by judging a BOOK that I am also judging God.

I'll say it again, the bible is not God.

Nick has been told that a dozen times but he refuses to understand that concept. I believe that for him the bible and God are one and inseperable.

I envy Nick. It would have been so much easier for me if I could have just blocked out all of the evil in the O.T. and only seen good. But no matter how hard I tried, evil was still evil.

I don't envy anyone who can take the OT as a viable viewpoint of God. Scary.

Again, I agree with you. I don't want to agree with you. I used to think people like you, Kevin, Cato, you all were so sadly mistaken and misled. I would pray that God would have mercy on your souls!

Now I see what you are saying, but I had to take my son-glasses off to see it.

I just cannot buy that God would do all of those things out of justice. Doesn't make sense. It's not even what we would consider respectable.

Mrs! Even Christian apologists say the AoD happened before Jesus' time. They also say there will be another, but that seems to be speculation thus far.

I know that the gospel is the truth, by virtue that the Spirit of God dwells within me testifying that it is the truth.  Also, I have had many personal experiences in addition to receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit which leaves no doubt.  Also, I know because God answers my prayers.

You know nothing more than anyone else does.  Why do you pretend?  Are you managing to keep up the fragile delusion by self-affirmation?  It doesn't work on the rest of us.

    Hi Stu:

It is my responsibility to share the truth with you, and I have done so. It is not my responsibility to force you to believe me, but you will learn that what I have shared with you is the truth at some point or another. This I guarantee.

The “Abomination of Desolation” was actually when the Bablyonians sacrificed a pig on a Jewish altar…

    that, and Im thinking…
looking from where we are living today
the binding of history books into black leather covers, sold as the complete Holy of holiness, could, become todays

    No, Cato:

Sin is not inherited.  Sin is the transgression of God eternal law.  The Children of parents who are not in a relationship with God are unclean because of the sin of their parents. If one of the parents is saved, then that parent will teach his children the Word of God.

Ok sin is not inherited, but if I have bad parents I am unclean because of their sins?  So what is the difference?

    Hi Cato:

If a child of the bad parents should die as a child before that child can exercise a decision whether of not to believe the gospel, the child will die physically.

But if the parents die in their sins, they will both physically and spiritually.  Their body and their soul will be destroyed.

    942767,
    I'm afraid I don't understand your answer.

You say if a child of bad parentage (who is therefore, unclean) dies, he dies only physically (like any other child I take it so what difference did it make).

Their parents however will die both physically and spiritually.

So what is the consequence of this inherited uncleanliness of the child?  How is he different from other children?

    Hi Cato:

My understanding is that the children of those parents who die physically while they are under the Law of God through obedience to their parents will be resurrected as part of the body of Christ.

The children of unsaved parents if they die under the law of their parents will die physically, but they will not be resurrected.

So the fate of people typically is beyond their control. Good plan!

The thing with guarantees like that is, we will have both skipped town before the guarantee is called upon. Your guarantee is worthless. Your 'truth' doesn't add up. What are we to make of that?

    I love this book,

Judge yourself free…. From the madness of the heart!
complaments the kingdom that once encouraged man to hang up the swords, and enjoy the life given.

Ecc 9:3 This [is] an evil among all [things] that are done under the sun, that [there is] one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of evil, and madness [is] in their heart while they live, and after that [they go] to the dead.
4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any [thing] that is done under the sun.
7 ¶ Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
8 Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.
9 ¶ Live joyfully with the wife whom thou lovest all the days of the life of thy vanity, which he hath given thee under the sun, all the days of thy vanity: for that [is] thy portion in [this] life, and in thy labour which thou takest under the sun.
