Recently I talked with two pastors, both graduates of American seminaries. They are both dedicated men, who have come out of their own culture to work overseas with the local and expatriate people.
Pastors question: We see some of your writings on Bible prophecy and end times events. Explain to us what you think is going to happen.
Keraz: There are five prophecies that specify the Negev desert as the focus of a terrible event that will cause destruction over virtually the entire Middle East (1)
Nothing to match it has occurred in the past, and seeing the current political situation, we can now see how this may take place.
Iran will attempt to deliver a nuclear weapon to destroy Israel’s nuclear plant at Dimona, in the Negev. (2) Also they will target Israel’s cities, excepting for Jerusalem.
This action will bring forth the wrath of the Lord. (3) The Jewish State of Israel, too will be destroyed and its current inhabitants killed or displaced. (4)
The Lord will use this event to carry out His judgement against the nations, including Judah. (5) It will be the Day, mentioned many times in the Bible, as the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, (6) and will be the Sixth Seal judgement/punishment of the nations. (7)
After a period of time, perhaps only a few months, the Lord will call His people, all the righteous Christians from every tribe, race, nation and language, to gather and enter all of the holy Land. As the new nation of Beulah , where He will bless them with prosperity and peace. (8) They will rebuild the Temple, as described in Ezekiel 40-36, and send out 144,000 missionaries to preach the coming Kingdom of God. (9)
Later, a Northern confederation of nations will be motivated to attack Beulah; But the Lord will totally destroy them. (10)
Also, after the worldwide devastation of the Lord’s terrible Day of fiery wrath, the surviving world leaders will decide to form a one world government, which will soon be taken over by a powerful and charismatic dictator. Later, he will sign a seven year peace and security agreement with God’s people , but after 3½ years, he will break that treaty and invade Beulah. This will begin the Tribulation (11) and after another 3½ years, the Lord Jesus will return and commence His Millennium reign. (12)
Pastors reply: Yes, we live in a dark and fallen world. Jesus came because of this sin. He believed in a Day of judgement for this evil world. When Jesus went to the Cross, He said ‘Now is the judgement for this world”. John 12:31 He understood the Cross to be the Day of Judgement. Note that the sky was darkened and the earth shaken then.
This is the basis for the substitutionary death of Christ and this is how the Old Testament prophecies have been fulfilled by Him. The whole point of Jesus coming to the earth was to take God’s wrath upon the Cross. The Cross and the hope of our resurrection is what the Christian faith is all about.
Keraz: I think that it’s sad that you don’t consider prophecy as worthy of study.
In 2 Peter 1:19, he says that we do well to attend to the prophets, and in Revelation 1:3 a blessing is given to those who ‘take to heart’ what is written there.
Final fulfilment of God’s judgement must still wait for the end times, as Paul says in Hebrews 10:27 and Peter in 2 Peter 3:10.

In 1977 Jimmy Carter was elected president. Carter made a political decision that would begin to set the stage for the end time prophecies. Carter told the Shah of Iran that he was cutting ties between Iran and the United States because of Iran’s human rights record. Ultimately, the Shah was taken down in January of 1979 and the Ayatollah Khamenei came to fill that power base. This is the man who established what is known today as the Islamic Revolution that awakened the Islamic world. Islam had been prevalent throughout the world and there was adherence to the Islamic faith. They were practicing Muslims but, it awoke the potential for what the Islamic world could do when the Ayatollah Khamenei came and set up not only the Islamic Revolution but, the Islamic Republic. A state of Iran would follow the Sharia. The law of the Islamic Quran, their holy book. It would be the beginning of the Islamic activities across the world that would lead us to where we are today. In 1981 addressing a Trade Union meeting, President Reagan was shot by John Hinckly Jr. in an assassination attempt. Reagan survived the assassination attempt and became the most powerful president in history. Many of the international decisions that Reagan would make would affect what was going to happen in the future prophetically. In 1987 Reagan would go to Germany, Berlin and to the Brandenburg Gate. While here, Reagan would utter the famous words heard throughout the world, “Mr.Gorbachov, tear down this wall.” In 1989 that wall would come down but, it was also the break and collapse of the Eastern Bloc countries and the Europeans with arms wide open would welcome these Eastern Bloc countries like Poland, Romania, Hungary and the others to become member states in the European Union. This resulted in the fall of the Soviet Union on December 26, 1991. In 1991 the Soviet Union became The National Federation and Boris Yeltsin was elected president. He chose a man over in St. Petersburg, Russia who was a staff member of the mayor of St. Petersburg, Russia to join his presidential team. (Vice President in the United States.) In 1999 Boris Yeltsin resigned and appointed this man to become president of The Federation. That man is none other than Vladimir Putin. That was the beginning of the leadership of the entire Russian nation which would set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled under the leadership of the United States. President, Ronald Reagan started it and the domino effect took place until we had a man named Vladimir Putin as the leader of a coalition of nations out of the Middle East.

The Dispersion and exile of both Israel and Judah is still enforced. Although part of Judah have returned to part of the Land, in apostasy; we await the great gathering of ALL the Lord’s faithful people, born again Christian believers, from every tribe, race, nation and language and their settling into ALL of the holy Land: from the Nile to the Euphrates. Ezekiel 34:11-18, Isaiah 35:1-10, Jeremiah 3:11, Romans 9:24-26, Revelation 7:9-14
Jeremiah 50:34 &45-46, Jeremiah 51:1-4 & 52-57 But they have a Powerful Advocate, whose name is Y’hovah, He Himself will take up their cause. Listen, therefore to His purpose against all the Babylonish lands: In the horror of this terrible time, even children will be caught.
The earth will quake and the great sound of destruction will be heard around the world. I will let loose My destroyer against My enemies, it will winnow and assail their lands from all directions on the Day of their disaster. No one will be unaffected and all military powers will be utterly destroyed.
Some of Jeremiah’s prophecies about Babylon were fulfilled in ancient times, but what is quoted above, must be yet to happen, as the earthquakes and loud noise did not occur at the conquest of Babylon by Cyrus. The same ‘Babylon’ as above is referred to in Revelation 17 & 18, and is obviously a modern city or entity. Its destruction ‘in a single hour’, will be the many prophesied fire judgement of the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath, as described above and in Revelation 6:12-17, Isaiah 66:15-16, Zephaniah 1:1-18, +
Revelation 18:3 All the nations have [will] drunk the wine of God’s anger, that is roused by the sins of Babylon…Revelation 17:15. Therefore this will be a worldwide punishment. Zephaniah 3:8, 2 Peter 3:7
Jeremiah 51:6 & 45 & 50 Flee out of Babylon, each person for themselves or you will perish for its sins, for this is the Lord’s Day of vengeance and wrath and He is paying her full recompense. My people, come out from her, [The ungodly nations] let everyone save themselves from the fierce anger of the Lord. You that have escaped death, go, do not linger. Remember the Lord from afar and bring to mind your rightful heritage in the holy Land. Zechariah 2:6-7, Ephesians 3:6
The Lord’s people, those who love Him and keep His commandments, all the Christian peoples, need to save themselves, or they will perish along with the ungodly during the Day; a literal day, of ‘the fierce, burning anger of the Lord’. Ezekiel 21:4, Isaiah 26:20-21
Firstly you must be aware of what is coming and if you hold to beliefs that are unsupported by scripture, such as a ‘rapture to heaven,’ at this time, then you will be shocked and unprepared for this sudden and terrifying event. Isaiah 30:26 specifically identifies an explosion on the suns surface as what will happen. We will actually have up to 24 hours warning before the arrival of the main ejected mass of superheated Hydrogen Plasma, so you must get under cover for protection against the high temperatures, powerful winds, earthquakes and tsunamis of that Day.
We are told to both: ‘Call on the Name of the Lord’ Joel 2:32, Isaiah 58:9 and also to be proactive by making preparations for this Coronal Mass Ejection. Isaiah 26:20-21
Then; ‘you that have escaped death’, when the call to go to the holy Land comes, be ready to go by whatever means available to you. Psalms 107, Isaiah 66:18b-21
Great will be the day when we all live together, in peace and prosperity! Zechariah 8:1-8, Amos 9:13-15
