1 Corinthians 15:12-14New English Translation (NET Bible)
12 Now if Christ is being preached as raised from the dead, how can some of you say there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. 14 And if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is futile and your faith is empty.
Some here deny that Jesus went through the final resurrection but instead believe he was resurrected to a mortal life and then later changed to be immortal. If that was the case then his resurrection cannot be used to prove there is a final resurrection and thus the preaching is futile and the faith is empty.

Participanthi KW,
Who are those who deny the resurrection of Jesus?
What of those who deny he was taken up and that we follow?August 29, 2014 at 11:28 am#740714NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
FINAL resurrection?
That is the second and should not involve us.August 29, 2014 at 11:38 am#740717kerwin
ParticipantNick,
There is a resurrection that returns you to your mortal life and a resurrection that raised you to a new life. I called the second one the final resurrection as the resurrection of the wicked is irrelevant to the point I am making.
Anyone that does not believe the Jesus was raised to an immortal body is denying his resurrection but making it a different thing.

ParticipantHi KW,
So a concept added to scripture?August 29, 2014 at 11:54 am#740719NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
Raised to an immortal body?
No raised again in his old body just as Jonah was.August 29, 2014 at 11:54 am#740720NickHassan
ParticipantHi KW,
You would need to see his new body to believe?
You will not be able to put your hand in his sideAugust 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm#740782kerwin
ParticipantNick,
You failed to answer my point from Scripture as you are denying that Jesus underwent the same resurrection that those that believe will undergo when he comes again.

ParticipantHi KW,
Who would deny the sign of Jonah?
Those who are alive will not be resurrected
Just taken up changedAugust 29, 2014 at 1:49 pm#740823kerwin
ParticipantNick,
Jesus was resurrected and is an example of those that will be resurrected. Nowhere in Scripture is he used as an example for those that are changed while still living. In fact nowhere in Scripture is he said to change. He is only said to be resurrected.

ParticipantHi KW,
All men will be resurrected eventually.

Flesh is the future for the sons of God?August 29, 2014 at 5:35 pm#741010kerwin
ParticipantFlesh is the future for the sons of God?
Adam and Eve were made flesh and bone in God’s kingdom and God said they were a very good creation. He did not lie.

ParticipantHi KW,
God’s kingdom?
Where is it written?
August 30, 2014 at 5:29 am#741439kerwin
ParticipantNick,
The kingdom of God is not spoken of much in Scripture though David refers to Judah-Israel as the kingdom of the Lord in 1 Chronicles 28:5. It is also mentioned in 2 Chronicles 13:8 and perhaps other places in the same way. Those are the only places I know where it is mentioned it the OT and that is after I did a search for the words “kingdom of” in the OT of the AV of the KJV.
The idea of a place where God reigns and mankind is not in rebellion against his reign holds until the time when humankind did rebel.

ParticipantHi KW,
So your ideas about a kingdom in genesis are empty of substance?
Discard them and cling to what is written.
God does not use idiom but speaks truth

ParticipantNick,
You idea that the garden of Eden was not in the Kingdom of God is an untruth.
Discard what is false and become wise. Our discussion is about a claim you make that is not in Scripture. You are the one that claims Jesus rose in corruptible body then changed into a incorruptible one later. Note of that is in Scripture and it negates Jesus as an example of resurrection that occurs when he comes again.
Stop attacking the person and start learning from the Spirit.

Your opinions carry no weight.
