Hi To all
Target Stores Offer ‘Day of the Dead’ Merchandise so you can ‘Welcome’ the Spirits ‘Back to the World of the Living’
September 24, 2021 by Andy RomanThe Adventist Movement was brought into existence by God at exactly the right time to do a special work today. We believe that the Three Angels’ Message of Revelation 14 should reach everyone because it is designed to address the issues facing our world. The Second Coming will take place only after the gospel has been proclaimed throughout the world (Matthew 24:14). God wants all to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). And more than ever, as the world is being drawn toward Spiritualism, God’s people cannot be passive in their mission, but fearless and determined to give people the opportunity to hear and accept the everlasting gospel.
At this very moment when God is trying to save the souls of men and women, Target stores want to help you welcome the departed spirits of the dead into your homes. Target is promoting ancestor worship and communication with the dead through its “Dia de los Muertos” (Day of the Dead) merchandise. [1] “Dia de los Muertos” or “Day of the Dead” is a holiday that is celebrated on November 1 throughout Latin America. The festival combines indigenous pagan rituals with Catholicism. “Dia de los Muertos” is the same as “All Saints Day” or “All Souls Day,” the annual Catholic celebrations that commemorate those who have died.
On the “Day of the Dead,” celebrants believe that the dead are awakened, so they welcome the spirits with food, drink, music and festivities. This is pure spiritualism, and many local Target stores are actively promoting the occult practice of receiving the spirits of the dead. This is divination, and this demonic movement is becoming more and more popular in this generation. We have been warned about this very work that Satan would be doing just before the Second Coming of Christ.
“The fallen angels who do his bidding appear as messengers from the spirit world. While professing to bring the living into communication with the dead, the prince of evil exercises his bewitching influence upon their minds. He has power to bring before men the appearance of their departed friends” (Great Controversy, p. 552).
“God has expressly forbidden all pretended communication with departed spirits. In the days of the Hebrews there was a class of people who claimed, as do the Spiritualists of today, to hold communication with the dead. But the ‘familiar spirits,’ as these visitants from other worlds were called, are declared by the Bible to be the ‘spirits of devils‘ ” (Great Controversy, p. 556).
Tragically, the world seeks to communicate with evil spirits rather than with God. But it is not just the world that does this. Spiritualism has taken on a new form as it seeks to deceive the Christian world:“As spiritualism more closely imitates the nominal Christianity of the day, it has greater power to deceive and ensnare. Satan himself is converted, after the modern order of things. He will appear in the character of an angel of light.” (Great Controversy, p. 588).
The purpose of spiritualism is to do the same work that the serpent did in the Garden of Eden; to destroy faith and confidence in the word of God, the Holy Scriptures:
“The warnings of the word of God regarding the perils surrounding the Christian church belong to us today. As in the days of the apostles men tried by tradition and philosophy to destroy faith in the Scriptures, so today, by the pleasing sentiments of higher criticism, evolution, spiritualism, theosophy, and pantheism, the enemy of righteousness is seeking to lead souls into forbidden paths … By spiritualism, multitudes are taught to believe that desire is the highest law, that license is liberty, and that man is accountable only to himself.” (Acts of the Apostles, p. 474).
“Evolution, spiritualism and pantheism?” This describes the modern climate change movement that the Christian world is fully embracing. As the pantheistic teachings of Mother Earth are imposed on society and as the major retailers encourage spiritualism and communication with the dead, the Adventist Movement must confront these challenges with the Word of God just like Noah, Elijah, John the Baptist and others did in their day.“Everyone is to have sufficient light to make his decision intelligently” (Great Controversy, p. 605).
“The light of the gospel shall extend to every soul upon the earth” (Thoughts From the Mount of Blessing, p. 42).
“All will have sufficient light to accept the saving truth, obey God’s requirements in keeping all His commandments and be saved” (Manuscript Release, Vol. 5, p. 314).
The climactic prophetic events of the ages are unfolding before our eyes. The prophecies of Daniel and Revelation speak to us in a clear and distinct voice, telling us that the time of human probation is about to end. Satan is working overtime to deceive as many souls as he can into being forever lost. And what are God’s people doing at this defining moment in world history? Are we asleep? Are we too preoccupied with making a living? Or are we backing away from the cause of Christ by joining the world? When God has a faithful people who live in harmony with His divine requirement, when they are busy proclaiming His message to every “nation, kindred, tongue and people” (Revelation 14:6) and when they come to an experience in which they reflect the image of Christ fully – then the Second Coming of Christ will take place!
“Christ is waiting with longing desire for the manifestation of Himself in His church. When the character of Christ shall be perfectly reproduced in His people, then He will come to claim them as His own. It is the privilege of every Christian not only to look for but to hasten the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, (2 Peter 3:12, margin). Were all who profess His name bearing fruit to His glory, how quickly the whole world would be sown with the seed of the gospel. Quickly the last great harvest would be ripened, and Christ would come to gather the precious grain” (Christ Object Lessons, p. 69).
