The Day of the Lord is more than one day. Of course. One day is measured as 1,000 years…no? The Creation in The Book of Genesis was many days. Many many thousands of years. ?
November 5, 2007 at 12:21 am#70618IM4TruthParticipantChap I do not think that Creation was measured according to how God sees the Days, otherwise the Sabbath Day would only come every thousand years. But you have a thought there, that makes one think.
Peace and Love Mrs.
November 5, 2007 at 12:32 am#70621acertainchapParticipantAh your right. Forgot about Sabbath.
November 6, 2007 at 3:15 pm#70716kenrchParticipantJohn was in the Spirit on the Lord's day. While in the Spirit on the lord's day what did John see? John saw what was to happen on the Great and terrible day of the Lord which could be 1000 years.
Humm just a thought
November 6, 2007 at 9:44 pm#70731acertainchapParticipantBut a good thought nonetheless.:)

Ken Do you really think, that God will punish people for a thousand years? I don't think so. The most punishment that God will put on people will be the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation, when God will open the Pit and all those chained up Demons will be loosed. Then the end will come. But those that are Christ's will go into safety. That is the way I understand Rev.
Peace and Love Mrs.November 6, 2007 at 11:41 pm#70742acertainchapParticipantDo you understand Revelation as partly symbolic? The sea in Revelation symbolizes politics or the whole world, correct?

I don't know MRS. But I'm not thinking of punishment like the lake of fire. I'm thinking more of a “learning” punishment. The correction kind of a punishment. Like a father would give his son.November 7, 2007 at 5:51 am#70778kenrchParticipantHumm How many years does revelation go through? It's not just a “human” day. The church has seven “eras”. A day like a thousand years.
AGAIN! Just a thought
Is John 1:1 speaking of the beginning of everything? OR the beginning of the earth and new creation?
Taken in context isn't John speaking of the beginning of the new creation. The Word became “flesh”?
AGAIN! Just a thought.
November 7, 2007 at 1:20 pm#70787acertainchapParticipantA grand thought, nonetheless. This is interesting. I never thought of that, Ken. I'm going to give this some thought. Thanks for putting this idea to the forefront. It's something I'd really like to put some thought into.
November 7, 2007 at 2:21 pm#70791kenrchParticipantYou know that someone said Jesus said He would come quickly but hasn't. Well heck He's only been gone for two days

John spoke of the beginning of Jesus Christ, since Jesus created everything after His beginning. The Apostle John received this Revelation about 1900 years ago.Peace aand Love Mrs.

Ken You belief in scriptures, so do you understand what first John said and then Col. and Rev. all this scrptures referr to the creation of Jesus.
Your Question if Jesus was in Heaven before. Yes, how else would He be able to create all. The Anges were created by Him too. I do not belief that Christ was an Angel. He is the Son of God, brought forth from God. While the Angels were created by Christ. After that they created the world and Humans. I also believe that God is a creator and Maybe He is not going to stop here, just a thought. But here is my prove about Christ Jesus.
Col 1:15-18
Rev. 3:14
John 1:1
Gen. 1:3 I think were it says ” Let us make Man in our image.
So who is us?
Peace and Love Mrs.November 7, 2007 at 8:35 pm#70814acertainchapParticipantThe 'us' could mean God and His Spirit which he pours upon people: The Holy Spirit.
November 7, 2007 at 9:16 pm#70815IM4TruthParticipantChap So do you belief then that the Holy Spirit is a person? I do not belief that. The Holy Spirit is God's Holy Spirit otherwise the Scripture in Ephesians 4:4-6 where it says there is one Spirit etc. would contradict itself. No I belief that it is the Father and the Son in Gen.1:3 Just like all the other scriptures.
Then you have Proverbs 8:22-30 Some will say it is Wisdom, again the same applies here. Wisdom is part of the Fathers Character, not that Wisdom is a person.Peace and Love Mrs.
November 7, 2007 at 9:48 pm#70817acertainchapParticipantNo I don't believe the Holy Spirit is a person. I agree that The Holy Spirit is God's Holy Spirit.
