    How about some false gospels

    INVITE JESUS INTO YOUR HEART

INVITE JESUS TO BE YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR.

    GIVE YOUR LIFE TO JESUS

    BELIEVE AND YOU ARE SAVED

    STRIVE AND SAVE YOURSELF.

    etc

Did you really read the last daily Devotional?
If so, does he talk about what you are telling me?
    is there a false teaching?

    “THOSE WHO ACCEPT THE SAVIOUR…..”

“ WHEN WE GIVE OURSELVES TO JESUS””

In what way do these decisions play a part in salvation?

Accepting Jesus as your Savior and Lord and giving yourself to him is the response of what he has done for all mankind, and the result of the work of the Holy Spirit in the heart to bring us to God.

    Hi to all

    Here is the Daily Devotional

    MEANING OF THE CONVERSION

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature. (1 Corinthians 10:12)

The old nature, born of blood and the will of the flesh, cannot inherit the kingdom of God. We must renounce old paths, hereditary tendencies, old habits, because grace cannot be inherited. The new birth consists in having new motivations, new tastes, new tendencies. Those who have been begotten by the Holy Spirit to live a new life have come to be partakers of the divine nature, and in all their habits and practices they demonstrate their relationship with Christ. When men who claim to be Christians keep all their natural character defects and tendencies, what difference is there between their attitude and that of the worldlings? They do not appreciate the truth as being sanctifying and purifying. They are not born again (RH 4/12/1892).

Authentic conversion influences hereditary and acquired propensities for evil. The religion of the Lord is a strong fabric, composed of innumerable threads tightly woven with skill and skill. Only the wisdom of God can achieve a fabric of such quality. Many fabrics give the illusion of a beautiful appearance, but time reveals how fragile they are: their color fades, the summer heat is enough to wither them and they are lost. Such fabrics do not support intensive use. (Mind, Character, and Personality, vol. 1, p. 149, 150).

This is what happens with the religion of many. When the character’s warp and weft do not support the test’s touchstone, the material of which it is composed is worth nothing. Efforts to patch old with new do not improve matters, for the old material is thin, pulling away from the new, leaving a larger tear than before. Patching does not yield any results. The only thing to do is to part with the old garment and get a completely new one.

Christ’s plan is the only sure thing. He states, “All things have become new.” “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature”. A patchwork religion has no value to God. The Lord asks for the total abandonment of the heart. (6BC 1101).

But Jesus gave His life as a sacrifice for us, why not give Him all our affections, our holiest aspirations, our most absolute service? (In Heavenly Places, p. 352).

    God bless

It happened while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the upper country and came to Ephesus, and found some disciples. He said to them,

“Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?”

    And they said to him,

”No , we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit”

    And he said,

“Into what then were you baptised.”

    And they said,

    ” Into John’s baptism”

    Paul said,

” John baptised with the baptism of repentance, telling people to believe in him who was coming after him, that is in Jesus”

When they heard this they were baptised in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them the Holy Spirit came upon them and they began speaking with tongues and prophesying. There were in all about 12 men.

    Acts 19.1

Is this what you are talking about?

Men have their own ideas about religion, but is God involved now in their activities?

Or have they wandered far from the plan He set out?

Human religion is uselessness at best.

Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.(1John3:4)

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: (Rom.5:20)

[8] He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.(1John3:8,9)

    Hi to all

    Here is the Daily Devotional

    Let’s be good and compassionate

Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving each other, as God forgave you in Christ. (Ephesians 4:32)

May the tenderness and mercy that Jesus showed in his noble life be an example to us of how we should treat our fellow human beings.

Many have weakened and become discouraged in the hard struggle of existence when a single word of kindness and encouragement would have enabled them to overcome. We cannot measure the extent that our good words and Christian efforts can have in lightening some burden. Those who stray can only be brought back to the right path by a spirit of humility, gentleness and tender love.

In all your dealings with your fellow men, never forget that you are dealing with creatures belonging to God. Be kind, be compassionate, be courteous to them. Respect what God has acquired by redemption. Treat each other with affection and politeness.

If you have enmity, suspicion, envy, jealousy in your hearts, get rid of these defects. Confess your sins, reconcile with your brothers, speak kindly of them. Do not make unfavorable allusions, suggestions which may arouse distrust in the minds of others. Watch over the reputation of your brothers as sacredly as your own reputation. Love your fellow men as you would like to be loved by Jesus.

The grace of God leads men to put themselves, in all circumstances, in the place of those with whom they have to do. It leads them to consider not only their own interests but also those of others. It leads them to always show affection, sympathy and kindness. To cultivate a spirit of righteousness, to live a holy life – that is what it means: to be like Christ.

May your life be guided by the great and generous principles of the Bible, the principles of goodwill, benevolence and courtesy.

    God bless

And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.

    Heb 11.6

Unless we know God and His son and are known by them we have nothing to offer our fellow man.

    Hi to all

JOB THE PROBLEM OF PAIN PART 1

A Northwestern University study showed that people suffering from chronic back pain can have a decrease in brain size of up to 11 percent. People commonly regulate pain to a primarily physical realm, but science shows that it affects so much more—and so does the Bible.

Job was one of those people for whom it seemed everything always went right. He was exceptionally wealthy, he had a beautiful family, he was in good health. In fact, he was not one of the greatest but “the greatest of all the people of the East” (Job 1:3, emphasis added).

He was of an exemplary character as well. He was a father who faithfully interceded for his children (v. 5) and a man whose conduct, personally and professionally, was continually “blameless and upright” (v. 1). All these things were attributed to his wholehearted love for God.

If not for the devil, Job’s life would probably have continued on in this manner. But Satan, in his insatiable desire to malign the character of God, set his crosshairs on Job, besmirching him as a petty, opportunistic parasite whose attachment to God went only so far as his love of material gain (vv. 9–11).

So Job’s character was put to the test and Satan was given free reign over all of his material possessions (v. 12). As a result, in a single day Job lost everything—his wealth, his assets, his living. Next, the devil massacred his servants and every one of his children (vv. 14–19). But while in mourning for his great losses, Job nevertheless continued to praise God (v. 21).

So the devil returned to God with another accusation: Job was a selfish coward who paid homage only insofar as his personal comforts were concerned (2:5). Thus Job yet again was tested.

Wasting no time, Satan inflicted upon him “painful boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head” (v. 7). And though his wife ill-advised him to forsake God, Job still remained faithful (vv. 9, 10). He still loved God, but he was severely, inconsolably sad and deeply, dangerously depressed. He wanted to die. His world became small, dark, and lonely, like a coffin. He could see nothing but the hopelessness in front of him.

Reflect: Has your pain been so great that it is difficult to focus on anything else? Pray to God for light and strength.
