WHY WAS THE MOON WAS CREATED ?
Psa 104:19 He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down.

Strong’s Definitions for the Hebrew original words, appointed (6213) and seasons (4150).
H6213 עשׂה ‛âśâh aw-saw'
A primitive root; to do or make, in the broadest sense and widest application: – accomplish, advance, appoint, apt, be at, become, bear, bestow, bring forth, bruise, be busy, X certainly, have the charge of, commit, deal (with), deck, + displease, do, (ready) dress (-ed), (put in) execute (-ion), exercise, fashion, + feast, [fight-] ing man, + finish, fit, fly, follow, fulfil, furnish, gather, get, go about, govern, grant, great, + hinder, hold ([a feast]), X indeed, + be industrious, + journey, keep, labour, maintain, make, be meet, observe, be occupied, offer, + officer, pare, bring (come) to pass, perform, practise, prepare, procure, provide, put, requite, X sacrifice, serve, set, shew, X sin, spend, X surely, take, X thoroughly, trim, X very, + vex, be [warr-] ior, work (-man), yield, use.H4150 מועדה מעד מועד mô‛êd mô‛êd mô‛âdâh mo-ade', mo-ade', mo-aw-daw'
From H3259; properly an appointment, that is, a fixed time or season; specifically a festival; conventionally a year; by implication, an assembly (as convened for a definite purpose); technically the congregation; by extension, the place of meeting; also a signal (as appointed beforehand): – appointed (sign, time), (place of, solemn) assembly, congregation, (set, solemn) feast, (appointed, due) season, solemn (-ity), synagogue, (set) time (appointed). As in Psalm 104:19.Lev 23:2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of YHWH (the LORD), which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are My feasts.
Lev 23:4 These are the feasts of YHWH (the LORD), holy convocations, which you shall proclaim in their seasons.
The words “holy convocations” referring to His feast days, in the original Hebrew text mean “set-apart gatherings.” The word “convocation” is derived from the same Hebrew word מועדה mo-aw-daw' , as in Psalm 104:19.

Heb 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of faith without wavering; (for He is faithful that promised;)
Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some; but exhorting: and so much the more, as you see the day approaching. So when the Psalmist tells us that God created the moon for Mo'adim [appointed times] he means that the moon was created to determine the time of the Mo'adim of YHWH, that is, the Biblical Holidays. The moon is still here……………….
