Quote (t8 @ Feb. 12 2014,13:48) 2 Corinthians 11:4
For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.Paul rebukes you Colter.
Paul taught a variation of the original gospel himself, I'm a disciple of Jesus, not Pagan Paul.If Jesus came today and said anything different than Paul you would reject Jesus just like the Jews do based on the idolatrous teaching that God wrote the Bible and you can't use your brain.

Like when God made the sun stand still in the sky in Joshua 10?If they are truly “his own constants in physics”, as you've said, then surely the Almighty Creator of those things is able to disrupt them, or work outside of them if He wants to.
Judges 1:19 says “And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.”hummmm, he would stop the sun in the sky (which means the earth stopped spinning) but he can't deal with the chariots made of iron.
The Jews rewrote their history, that’s why they are so favored in their own scripture and that’s why the Bible contradicts itself in so many places. It's human, very human.

It is very important to know how to decern the scriptures.
Your own wisdom is in the way. That war was not a war against God.
That was a war of men against men.
God was just giving Judah a hand.wakeup.

Your explanation doesn't require any sort of mysterious magical insight, it says God was unable to help against the iron chariot. The truth is that when the Hebrews were writing and exaggerating their history they had to explain why they lost or won a war. Because they were so arrogant they thought everything was about them and God.
March 7, 2014 at 11:58 am#372765ProclaimerParticipantColter, there is a word for your post above. “Unbelief”. That makes you an unbeliever. Now you know why you are in the Skeptic area of this forum. Because you are an unbeliever. A skeptic.
Contrary to the path you have taken, a number of people here have chosen to believe and hopefully they have a living faith because faith is the EVIDENCE of things not seen. It is not blind faith as many unbelievers think.
God proves to each individual that he is indeed God. Not to everyone, but to those who truly seek.

Well you are a self-confessed enemy of the gospel and you are open about it. That is your choice.I choose God and I love the truth. And contrary to what you think, faith is not blind. I have all the proof I need that YHWH is God and Yehsua his son, the prototype of all sons.

That same kind of nonsense was used by the Jews against Jesus, legalistic quibbling and technicalities instead of sincerely listening to what he had to say. They still use the technicalities of scripture to deny Jesus.I believe in the gospel, I believe in Jesus, I believe in God and know his personal presence. I believe in the original gospel, I just don't agree with the new many gospels of divided Christianity.
The Bible doesn't claim to be written by God, It's not there. It's about the word written by imperfect holy men, edited and redacted by later generations of men.
The Christ created the error that God wrote the Bible in order to control people. The churches followers then in turn try that authority on others.
I believe God is the Word, the Living Word.
The authors of the UB don't claim the UB to be the Word, they also explain that God is the Living Word in the heart of the individual believer. It is better to approach the Bible books through God rather than God through the Bible.
But you are also a skeptic, you are skeptical of the additional revelation that Jesus sent in the UB.
