All nice words,But.
Just picture yourself with a family and children.
The children are crying for food; there is no food, because you have refused the mark.
Your greatest enemy will be your close friends, family members, neighbours.
Pushing you to just take the mark and all will be fine.
Saying that you are cruel to let your children suffer; That it is not God’s will to have children to suffer.
Pressure, pressure, pressure my friend: how strong are yous piritually; what does those nice words truly mean?
Walk in Christ and this and that. Love the Lord and this and that.
Your weak foundation will be shaken,my friend.
Be prepared spiritually now, excercise your spirit now.
Dont wait to the last moment.
Do you have children and grand children Kerwin?
wakeup.

LK 4:25 “But I say to you in truth, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up for three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land;
LK 4:26 and yet Elijah was sent to none of them, but only to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.August 25, 2014 at 8:15 am#737965kerwinParticipantNick,
Adn advocates role is explained in 1 Jn 1-2
Intercession for weak men’s failings by Jesus.
1 John 2 New English Translation (NET Bible)
2 1 (My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One, 2 and he himself is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for our sins but also for the whole world.
That would be Jesus in the role of Advocate not the Spirit though I am certain the two are linked. The Spirit in its role as Advocate teaches us all things. It is sent in Jesus’ name.

Jesus as an advocate is the reparation for our sins. There is also the sanctification as is written:
Acts 26:18New English Translation (NET Bible)
18 to open their eyes so that they turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a share among those who are sanctified by faith in me.’
Sanctify is to make something holy and about holiness it is written:
Ephesians 4:24New English Translation (NET Bible)
24 and to put on the new man who has been created in God’s image—in righteousness and holiness that comes from truth.

Do you know where that is written in Scripture. I know Jesus is the mediator and the author and perfecter of our faith but I do not remember what you write in Scripture though many claim it as part of their doctrine.
The Holy Spirit as Advocate is mention in John 14-16.
August 25, 2014 at 2:08 pm#738036NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
Do you know what an advocate does?
He ADVOCATES-speaks for you as an intercessor.
August 25, 2014 at 4:10 pm#738074kerwinParticipantNick,
Advocate and intercessor also mean middleman but that is not the way you used Advocator. The way it is used in 1 John is he serves as the middle by paying the cost for our sins. He already did that so all he has to tell God now is that a believer is one to bear his name. It sounds like he is more of a middle man than a lawyer.

It is written to the saved to tell them the price has already been paid. He also says the same abut the whole world even though many will not fit through he narrow gate.
1 John 2:2New International Version (NIV)
2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
It is to encourage us to continue striving and not to give into worldly sorrow; which is of the world.
August 26, 2014 at 6:31 am#738198NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
‘Be still and know that I am God’ is not urging us to strive.
Flesh contributes nothing
August 26, 2014 at 7:08 am#738207kerwinParticipantNick,
We are to strive by faith and not by that which is without God.
Philippians 3:12-15New English Translation (NET Bible)
Keep Going Forward12 Not that I have already attained this—that is, I have not already been perfected—but I strive to lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus also laid hold of me. 13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have attained this. Instead I am single-minded: Forgetting the things that are behind and reaching out for the things that are ahead, 14 with this goal in mind, I strive toward the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let those of us who are “perfect” embrace this point of view. If you think otherwise, God will reveal to you the error of your ways.
That is what the Spirit is about as it leads/drives us onward in the pursuit of true righteousness and holiness just as it led/drove Jesus into the wilderness after his immersion by John.
August 26, 2014 at 7:38 am#738215NickHassanParticipantHi KW,
The Spirit is like the wind.
WIthout that wind our vessels are becalmed
August 26, 2014 at 11:20 am#738230kerwinParticipantNick,
Yes, without the Spirit you cannot find God’s righteousness.
