Who was Arron?
What was Moses?
Are our genes the key to our past?
Where the Aryans a race? Where they good or bad? Is it possible they are not originally from this earth, maybe even from Mars?October 19, 2003 at 10:27 pm#4270ProclaimerParticipantI have answered the questions on Moses and Aaron in the General Questions Forum. Click here to go there now.
=========I think our genes will give us a lot of information about our physical past. But they probably will reveal little or nothing about Spiritual things.
About the Arian race, I believe them to be the same as the other races. i.e there is good and bad in all races. Genes do not determine whether we are good or bad as we are all sinners. However genes do give us weaknesses or certain tendencies, but we still have a choice to do good or bad.
What makes us good is our faith in God, not our genes. E.g You will find all races represented in the criminal justice system and you will find that God's children come in all colours, shapes and sizes.
Romans 3:23
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,Romans 14:23
……….and everything that does not come from faith is sin.Evil comes from the heart and Jesus said to think something is like actually doing it.
If we take a kitchen knife for example, we know that it can be used as a lethal weapon or a cooking utensil. The knife itself is not evil, but the desire of the heart can be.
October 19, 2003 at 10:57 pm#4272ProclaimerParticipantAbout the Mars thing. I suppose that it is possible that our bodies could be made from materials from other parts of the Universe, but our bodies are not who we really are. We are souls.
Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. You will also notice that our bodies are made from the elements found in the ground, so it is possible that our bodies contain elements found in other parts of the Universe.
December 19, 2005 at 9:03 pm#10983BastianParticipantThe first Adam was not created in the image of God. He was made from the earth.
Unlike spiritual beings he did not know good from bad. Then the Lord God said “behold the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Adam was also created mortal. Now, he might stretch out his hand, take also from the tree of life, eat, and live forever.
Genesis 1 In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth. This happened in the past. How long ago? The bible does not say. Contrary to popular belief, the Genesis accounts were not written for us to know how the Universe was created, so that we can debate with secular people about the big bang theory.
JEREMIAH 4:23
I beheld the earth, and lo, it was without form and void; and the heavens, and they had no light.
Without form and void is not to be understood as, the Greek philosophers understood it. That the Universe was chaos and God made order out of it.
Genesis 1 tells us that God has already created the heavens and the earth. Jeremiah sees calamity upon the earth, but God puts all things right. Genesis 1 is a prophetic perfect. That is when God makes man in His image. Let us (God and Jesus Christ) make man in our image.
Jesus, the first born of the New Creation.
Everything was made through him and for him.
The new creation was made through and for him. Why would the Old creation need to be made for Jesus?
In the first Genesis account male and female are created together.
In the second account Eve is taken out of Adam what appears to be a long time after he had been created. He names all of the animals first etc.

Good stuff.
And the end of earthly creation is like to the beginning. All creation through the Son. Separation and rebellion. Then the Son being given the absolute responsibility of reordering all things under himself so it can be reordered under God. Creation becomes a crucible where only purity is selected and the dross destroyed. Thus the process of purification and sanctification of creation by our own choices with the power of God's Spirit working through the Son and us to allow it to happen. Thus God has a perfect creation that is of Him and through Him and for Him-all through the work of the Son from start to the finish so that he too, under God, is Alpha and Omega.
1Cor 15.28
“And when all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to him, so that God may be all in all”December 20, 2005 at 7:08 pm#11010BastianParticipanttks Nick,
You have no idea how nice it is to see “good stuff”. I am used to getting “where do you get this stuff”!
When I tell people my bible, they don't see it . I wonder sometimes if we are all reading the same book
