This question was given to me, Is animals in heaven? We know that God ordered by sevens the good animals and two by two the bad animals in the ark. We also know that Jesus is riding a white horse; taking the Word in factually to the meaning of "horse" in Rev.
I personally found that when I recieved salvation and I use to hunt deer . And I found myself that I could not kill the buck because I was amazed in his chacter, fascinated by his beauty. I enjoy the meat and the fellowship of hunting but I found the more I went , the more I just captured the creation and the giving of life, rather than taking a life. My son and others didn’t want to hunt with me because I didn’t bring home the meat , just watched it from afar. Psalms 104 highlites my insight to this question. Like the man asked , is my dogs and horses going to heaven? What do you think…..God BlessJuly 17, 2003 at 10:59 am#4017ProclaimerParticipantI think that animals don't have eternal life, but they may be present in heaven as you have pointed out.
2 Peter 2:12
But these men blaspheme in matters they do not understand. They are like brute beasts, creatures of instinct, born only to be caught and destroyed, and like beasts they too will perish. The word perish here means to be destroyed. This verse is condeming people who will die like the animals. In other words they won't inherit eternal life.
Now I think it is normal for animals to perish, but it is shameful for a person to perish as we are the only earthly creatures that were made in God's image and we were meant to live forever.
This is only my opinion. But it seems logical to me that animals do not have eternal life. If they did, then that would include insects, parasites and worms too and many of these animals exist to breakdown or decay dead animals. But if there is no death in the next world, then maybe these types of creatures will not need to exist.
Perhaps there are animals in heaven and they do not die. I really do not know the answer to this.

I have been asked this question many times, alot of people I know who have animals believe they will see their beloved pet in Heaven. I'm not sure what to say as I havn't come across any scriptual evidence. I don't want to say yes I think you will be reunited with them in Heaven, because I don't really believe that within myself.
Can anyone help, I love my dog and it would be a comforting thought to think he might enjoy heaven too when he's turn comes.January 6, 2007 at 1:09 am#35950davidParticipantHumans, not animals, were made ‘in the image and likeness of God.’ (Genesis 1:26) And whereas animals were created with a limited life span, humans had the prospect of living on earth forever. (Genesis 3:22, 23; Psalm 37:29) Jesus Christ said that to enjoy “everlasting life,” we must exercise faith and take in knowledge of God—things that animals are incapable of doing. (John 3:36; 17:3) Moreover, the Bible compares those unworthy of a resurrection to the “unreasoning animals [that are] born naturally to be caught and destroyed.”—2 Peter 2:9-12.
Regarding the way God made humans, the Bible says: “He has even put eternity into their minds.” Yet, nothing like this is said of animals.—Ecclesiastes 3:11, Byington.
I don't think the Bible gives any reason for believing there are animals in heaven….but the future earth will be restored for what God willed it to be, a paradise, with the animals under man's control, with the proper fear of man restored to them.
January 6, 2007 at 2:33 am#35954DebraParticipantHi David
Thanks for picking this topic up again…
Just a thought….
Did God create animals of the domestic variety, purley for our need for comfort and companionship when all we want is to be loved and love, without someone giving their opinion. My dog (Booboo) is such a joy to me, when I'm sad he's there at my feet, and I've seen tears in his eyes, when tears are in mine, when I'm happy he's bounces around me like he is rejoicing in my happiness too.
What a precious gift from the Lord, if this is the case.
God bless all the comfort givers of the animal world.January 6, 2007 at 6:51 am#35967MercyParticipantI think the future New Earth with have animals. It is a restoration before sin. Animals were part of that.
Will particular animals (pets) be ressurected? I have no proof for that and it seems t8 presented some good scripture implying not.
January 6, 2007 at 2:21 pm#36021seekingtruthParticipantDoesnt it say somewhere in scripture that God will suffer the loss of nothing. I believe we spend eternity in a corporeal existence (we will live on earth). I believe that God will not only have animals but will bring back those lost due to extinction. (not Resurrection but recreated during the whole new heaven and new earth happening, we know their around during the millenium) I agree that animals do not have a spirit and do not pass into eternity but I personally believe that God may even restore personalities of loved pets. No there are not any scriptures I know of that support the above but the nature of God does.
Only my opinion.

God must have thought highly of His animals since animals were His first choice as a help meet for Adam.Gen 2:18 And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.
Gen 2:19 And out of the ground Jehovah God formed every beast of the field, and every bird of the heavens; and brought them unto the man to see what he would call them: and whatsoever the man called every living creature, that was the name thereof.BTW Have you ever asked a heathen where did the names of animals come from? You know dog cat bird etc. Has scientist said who named the animals?

Hi kenrch. Two questions. First, which Bible do you use? Just wondering? Secondly, what is a “help meet,” because you mention this twice.
If it's a mistake, it's funny, because you say that God made animals a help “meet” for Adam. If it's not a mistake, I wonder what a help meet is? A helper? And how does “meet” picture into it?January 7, 2007 at 12:27 am#36045chicano4571Participantanimals are in heaven ………..where do you think God gets his ideas. just read revelation read the bible friends ……plus God him self in the giveing of the Torah he told isreal not to harm birds and if he even knows when one dies do think he will let his creation just helpless who are we better than they Gods little feathered friends or fluffy running down the street………God is love …..imagine that if we can
January 7, 2007 at 5:20 am#36061charityParticipantHelp meet
I thought the very same things when God said man should have a help meet, and he just started bringing in the animals, Did God just want Adam to pick a puppy or bird, Adam Did not seem happy just to have Gods presence in his life, and he said nothing there lord for me, God has created female in the Image of him and the Son, but maybe God needs to be established first in a man
So much went wrong at this point I consider this even the fall, So God went ahead put him to sleep and took Female from him, which he then turns around to say she is made of ME and calls her Woman,( no credit for God)
Then when some of him is running around that he has lost control of…..
I say This…. Adam Help meet self
She eats of knowledge, and of coarse he has been made to eaten, she is him
Then blames God!! That woman you gave me!!, and then blames eve she made me eat! still aproblem today however seems
And then the fallen Angles come down and start Help themselves to woman.charity

Good post.
The OT is such a treasure chest, holding all the keys to unlocking the NT, if we are to try to understand each other M/F all we need to do is start at..In the beginning…
If there are no animals in Heaven, then it makes it hard to imagin what it's like because I always imagined Heaven to be a restored Earth, just like here but all fresh and clean, and without the love of money and power, the absence of all evil, absolutly perfect.
I love to paint and I use very vibrant colours, so my Heaven is full of colour and animals.
After reading your post, I'm thinking, here we get comfort and companionship from our pets,in Heaven we have the ultimate comforter and we shall not want.
Interesting topic, but we can only be sure when we get there and see for ourselves. The next time someone asks me do animals go to Heaven, I'm going to say ” I don't know, but I'll find out one day.”January 7, 2007 at 10:50 am#36102MercyParticipantChrist rides a white horse at his second coming. I think allegorical, horses are symbolic of power and strength,in fairy tales the prince rides a white horse .
I could be wrong, maybe He will ride a real white horse. the perfect animal for the King, don't you think?January 7, 2007 at 11:32 am#36104charityParticipantQuote (Debra @ Jan. 07 2007,10:43) Hi charity

Hi Debra most lovely GirlI would think the place prepared for us is most defiantly the earth,
Joe 2:3 A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land [is] as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
So I guess, even animals God is Good, if not we shall be happy, he shall give all the desires of the heart and more than we could even conceiveI love art, I am a hair stylist, I used to cut all my dolls hair, guess it just their if its there?
but more so I just love to study the word of God.

Hi MercyI HAVE NEARLY PULLED MY HAIR OUT OVER THIS TOO
The white horse Rev 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer. This is the first seal, Christ dose not come to earth until the sixth seal, the seals cover the Old Testament? and the trumpets after Christ the final offence
David, one from the roots of Jessie, who the covenant of life was given to, and many people came because of his faithful preaching to the Great Congregation, by him many were redeemed to God, but still spent their lives waiting for the arrival of Christ, much like we do today, except he has come, and said I am with you always, behold I knock if any will open, we have him.
So THINKING if someone is at your table, you can’t also be expecting him to arrive. Faith alone,These verses explain the start of the convent of life to the end of Christ’s life? we should agree that Christ is now the King of kings Lord of Lords
Also that he desires his father David to be glorified in him who turned the hearts of the congregations to his coming.Rev 19:11 ¶ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
Rev 19:12 His eyes [were] as a flame of fire, and on his head [were] many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
Rev 19:13 And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
Rev 19:14 And the armies [which were] in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Rev 19:15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
Rev 19:16 And he hath on [his] vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.He wishes his father David not to have his crown cast to the ground, and the same for us also who are faithful
Christ is going to make that crown sit on David’s head for the people of the kingdom that he redeemed, even if this world refuses, I beleive this to be a sure thing to arrive on us.
Hsa 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.God bless

March 1, 2007 at 6:27 pm#43363NickHassanParticipantHi,
We are told to preach the gospel to all creation-that includes animals.
The story of the donkey being used of God fascinates me.Num 22
” 21And Balaam rose up in the morning, and saddled his ass, and went with the princes of Moab.22And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.
23And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.
24But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.
25And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.
26And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.
27And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.
28And the LORD opened the mouth of the ass, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?
29And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.
30And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? and he said, Nay.
31Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.
32And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:
33And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.
34And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.
35And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak. “
The ass revealed self awareness, awareness of good behaviours, knowledge of the master he served and memory. Do all animals possess these things but are unable to communicate them except by the assistance of God?
March 1, 2007 at 8:54 pm#43366kenrchParticipantIsa 11:7 The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Isa 65:25 The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the LORD.
I thought there was one that said a baby will play with the serpent and will not be harmed, or something like that. but I can't find it.
Anyway I'm an animal lover, always have been. I don't think any of my animals I had are in heaven. But who knows? I see nothing about animals being resurrected
According to the above scriptures animals will be on the new earth.
