Hello Everyone! Although it has been just a few days since I joined this forum, I am impressed with the depth this forum offers. Chris and I have a nightly chat room connected to our website, we are typically there Mon – Fri, 9 pm – 12 . Perhaps I am going out on limb here but we would love to have any of you join us for a “live” conversation about any God related topic. Our chat room is small and loving – it would be a great opportunity for all of us to fellowship – Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Below is a link to our site where you will find the chat room button – just enter and type your name. We hope to see you there! http://www.happyjesusday.com
God Bless You! Peace, Diana

Have to go to bed now though. Getting late.
September 1, 2005 at 2:06 am#21988NickHassanParticipantHi david,
How is Saskatoon? We had a year in Kelowna BC in 88-89. Loved the place.September 3, 2005 at 10:09 pm#21989davidParticipantI just discovered all these other topics. Saskatoon is fine. We have the hightest murder/crime rate per capita of any city in Canada. But, that's mostly the other side of the city.
Where are you from Nick?September 3, 2005 at 11:09 pm#21990NickHassanParticipantHi david,
Blenheim, New Zealand. t8 is also from NZ[Wellington}November 17, 2005 at 6:59 am#21994davidParticipantWhat's the weather like in New Zealand. Here, right now, it's -25 C with the wind chill. It just got ugly here a few days ago.
You guys are metric, right?

Hi david,
Cool here [+13]with wind and showers at 2130. We had a few days in the high 20s last weekend and the Norwest wind started to wind up. Gone now but she will be back.Metric yep.November 17, 2005 at 11:17 pm#21996davidParticipantSo, you describe cool as plus 13. I see. Lucky you. Actually, today was a very nice day. It was zero.
November 17, 2005 at 11:44 pm#21997NickHassanParticipantHi david,
Stunning day today with clear blue sky [21]and no wind!November 18, 2005 at 12:51 am#21998davidParticipantThat is so….great. I am so…happy for you. I'm just saddened by the first hit of bad weather here.
Does it snow there?November 18, 2005 at 1:45 am#21999NickHassanParticipantHi david,
No never here. But there are ski fields within two hours. NZ is a little but of beautiful everything.November 19, 2005 at 4:02 am#21992ProclaimerParticipantHi david,
We have a lot of mountains in New Zealand and there are many skifields. But most people live near the ocean where there is a temperate climate. Auckland our biggest city is more subtropical however.
I have attached some photos:
Wellington (where i live)
Near Queenstown. (home to most of our ski fields)
Nick lives 2 hours from here. He lives in the sunniest part of New Zealand.November 19, 2005 at 4:54 am#21993davidParticipantVery beautiful.
November 19, 2005 at 9:26 am#21991ProclaimerParticipantDon't encourage me david.
Too late. Here are some more pics of NZ.November 20, 2005 at 1:37 am#22000davidParticipantOK, New Zealand is a nice place. But it's not like that everywhere is it? I mean, you can't look out your window and see those things can you? Or do you live in the middle of paradise?
Canada is a big place. We have lots of scenic places. Just not where I live apparently.November 20, 2005 at 4:50 am#22001NickHassanParticipantQuote (david @ Nov. 20 2005,01:37) OK, New Zealand is a nice place. But it's not like that everywhere is it? Hi david,
I love Canada and the vast areas of spectacular beauty for example in the Rockies.
But NZ is a postage stamp sized country with a little bit of everything and all so close.
You can find Fiords like Norway, Alps like Switzerland, plains, lakes and streams like Canada. There are vast tracts of bush and beaches too. But everyone is within 3 hrs of the sea and you can drive and ferry the whole length of the country in little over a day and a half if you wished.
Those beaches t8 showed you are not like that on the top of the East of the South Is but they are norwest of us about 4 hours away.November 20, 2005 at 7:53 am#22002ProclaimerParticipantOf course not all of New Zealand is that beautiful, but a large part of it is. About one third is protected wilderness and then we have large tracts or rural areas. We have only a handful of cities and these cities would be considered towns in other countries. Our biggest city is Auckland (1.2 million). But even Auckland has 2 harbours, beaches, and forests. They filmed Xena and Hercules TV series in the hills to the west of the city. Below are some pics from Auckland. This is the most urban New Zealand gets.
I went to Canada BTW, and I think Vancouver is the nicest city I have seen in my life. I have heaps of pics, but they are not digitized yet. I will post them here when they are.
November 20, 2005 at 8:33 pm#22003davidParticipantYa, vancouver is nice. I tend to believe anywhere next to the ocean is nice. I basically live in the middle of nowhere however–the middle of Canada 2000 miles from the pacific or atlantic, and a couple thousand miles from the mountains.
t8, I just read that you have other websites you run, or look after. Are they similar to this one?November 21, 2005 at 10:51 am#22004ProclaimerParticipantHi david,
I flatted with a guy from Winnipeg when I lived in Australia quite a while ago. He told me many things about Cananda and showed me photos from the North West Territories and Baffin Island too. He was a real adventurer. He travelled around the Australian continent and ended up in Melbourne.
My main job is webmaster for a few websites that are sponsored by the New Zealand government in the field of education. That is my fulltime job. I also have a number of websites that I own as well, in an effort to free me from working 40 hours per week for someone else. I am hoping in time to be fulltime self employed and thus far I am in the difficult interim period of having a full-time job and also running my own business. The great thing about running websites as a business is that you can work from any country in the world, so long as you have a laptop and an Internet connection.
Heaven Net is unique in that it is a labour of love with no financial gain. Fortunately there are many who contribute to this site, so I look at this as a service whereby people sacrifice their time to help others. Of course a lot of the time we end up defending ourselves or our teachings rather than searching out the deep things of God together. But I guess that this is what happens when people search for the truth, they will be apposed, yet this opposition makes us stronger anyway. So praise God.
Heaven Net has another side to it where static writings are posted. So it is good to know that when God puts something on mine or another persons heart that it can be posted on that side of the site with no interuptions.
A friend of mine emailed me with a vision he received from God a few years ago. So I will be putting that up and hopefully more stuff as it becomes available.
Personally I would love to spend more time here and am making changes to my life to make this possible.
November 24, 2005 at 4:03 am#22005davidParticipantSo, t8, just wondering what someone has to do to be removed from here. I'm wondering what you're policies are on that. I know you've threatened once. But I'm just wondering how far someone has to go.
Also, you are the only one in charge of this, correct? How did you find Nick? How long have you known him? - AuthorPosts
