Quote As I said David, it is best settle with doctrine. For no matter what I would tell you reguarding the KJ, you have already made up your mind. This is nothing I can show you or teach you that you would not claim to be wrong.
Actually, I just agreed with you in another thread. (see the “Christians killing” thread)
What you could show me is a scripture saying that Jesus is the God of Jehovah.
We know there are about 4 scriptures saying that the Father is the God of Jesus, but you will have great difficulty finding a scripture that says the reverse.
Yet, you said:Quote When God the Father asks you why you did not refer to his God as God, you might start thinking of excuses now.
I then said: “In this you are wrong.”
You then said:Quote This is nothing I can show you or teach you that you would not claim to be wrong.
If I am the one who is wrong on this, show me the scriptures. And I will believe.August 2, 2006 at 3:21 pm#42359He’s Coming in the CloudsParticipantDear David,
You said,
What you could show me is a scripture saying that Jesus is the God of Jehovah.I have never said that Jesus is Jehovah, for he is not. What I said is that the Father, made the Son God over all of creation, giving the Son the full authority of the Godhead. Jesus is the Son of God the Father Jehovah. This can be proven in scripture.
As it says there is only one God, this is true, for there is only one God, but it doesn't say anything about God the Father making his Son God for a time until all the enemies of the Father have been subdued, at which time, the Son becomes subject unto the Father, so that the Father will be all in all. For there is only one God.

Quote Dear David, You said,

No, and I didn't say that you said “Jesus is Jehovah.” I said that you said that “Jesus is the God of Jehovah.”
And you DID say:
Quote When God the Father asks you [david] why you did not refer to his [“God the Father's] God [presumably you mean “Jesus”] as God, you might start thinking of excuses now.
So here you state that “God the Father” has a God in that you were speaking of him and then said “his God.”
Sorry if I misunderstood.August 3, 2006 at 3:38 pm#42361He’s Coming in the CloudsParticipantLOL. Sorry David if I didn't make it clearer. I think you have it now.
I believe there is one God, Jehovah, Almighty God. He begat his Son and made him his image, thus making him God, and by the Son and through the Son, by the will of the Father through the unction of the Holy Spirit all of creation came into being.
