    Hi Bodhitharta,

Tell me please, do you believe that Jesus died on the cross and three days later was taken up by the Father, to the Father?

Or, do you believe that Jesus did in fact not die, and was actually alive when taken up by the Father, to the Father?

…..which (if you believe this second scenario?), would mean that somebody else, instead of Jesus, died on the cross in His place?…

And if you believe this, could you tell me who it was that died in Jesus' place?

    Thank you.

What have you got to show us,What is your philosophy?
Nothing; you have nothing to show us,but ridicule.
You just work, eat, sleep, have fun, grow old and helpless and then you die, end of story. You have no purpose in life, its all emptiness.

    wakeup.

Wiki: Philosophy is the study of general and fundamental problems, such as those connected with existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language.[1][2] Philosophy is distinguished from other ways of addressing such problems by its critical, generally systematic approach and its reliance on rational argument.[3] The word “philosophy” comes from the Greek φιλοσοφία (philosophia), which literally means “love of wisdom”.

Well let's compare my philosophy to yours wakeup, shall we? One point at a time.

Existence – I believe that there is a great deal of scientific proof that we have come to exist as we now are through a process of evolution.

You believe we magically poofed into existence from a pile of dirt.

Values – I believe that my values and ethics are subjective and based on my personal interpretations of what is right and wrong within the confines of the society in which I live, I donate my time to those that need my help, financial resources to charities that help people in need, and my physical presence to the infirm that are in desperate need of simple companionship. I also donate time and money to  no kill animal shelters.

For what it is worth, every single time that I go to the grocery store (Kroger) I also buy one of the bags of food that they distribute to the hungry. Those kind things, along with simply enjoying the beauty of life, my family and  my surroundings are part of my purpose in life. It is most assuredly not emptiness as you imply.

You on the other hand think that the only purpose in life is to please God.
So anything that you do to help other people is to gather brownie points with God.
You also believe that atrocities such as genocide, stoning people to death for minor infractions, slavery and killing are good things if God orders them and says that they are good things. In my opinion, those are detestable values.

    ____

Language – I believe that language differences are an evolutionary process of social bonding. Every one in a group wants to sound the same as everyone else in order to belong to that group. So their particular language evolves.

You think that language differences come from God toppling the tower of Bable and scattering the people and their language..

You sound extremely small minded and angry wakeup,
but I wish you a great day nevertheless.

    Hi timothy v1.

You are contradicting your own philosophy:

Your great grand parents were monkeys, and there is no God:
But at the same time you are trying to do good to others.
If there is no God then there is no greater judge to be afraid of,for there is no day of judgement.
So what is the purpose of doing good; life is short, lets do the best we can to live it; me; for my best, and you; for your best. This is indeed the situation in the world yesterday and today.

Everyone his own life.I do what I need to do to survive, and you do what you have to do to survive.

You dont believe there is a God ,but you admit that there is good and evil; Who is the judge that defines good and evil?
Who puts that invisible line there?

You will say; society, but there are many societies, and each follow their own good and evil. What is good for one is not necessary good for the other, its all relative.

I steal your car, that is good in my opinion, because I must have that car,and I need a car.You will say that is bad; well thats your opinion. You can see human nature at work even in the traffic; the ME FIRST attitude; you there, get out of the way.

This world is far away from God,and we can see human nature without God working; cheating, warring, robbing, oppressing the poor, keeping all the earths wealth for the minority super rich, greedy dogs they are,
without fear of anything, for they are the masters of this world.

This is the product of a world with no God; the rich are very rich and the poor have to live like animals, daily visiting the rubish dumb,to survive. This is the product of EVOLUTION,AS YOU CALL IT. And this is what you follow and embrace.

There will be no peace and fairness in this world, untill every single person, is cleansed from the inside; and this is what God is working on; then the cleansed will survive, and the uncleansed, destroyed.

    wakeup.

Hi Tim, You are contradicting your own philosophy:

I just gave an example of my philosophy. There is no contradiction.
What I may be contradicting is your silly belief that no one can do good without God.

You just reinforced my very point. I do good for other people out of the joy of doing good. You, wakeup, are incapable of doing any good except out of fear of your God. The only good you do is to gain your brownie points with God, your treasures in heaven.
    That is truly sad.

I said that I think that we evolved into what we are today.
I don't “follow and embrace” the belief.
You have me mixed up with some deluded religious fanatic.

The rest of your ramblings are so far from any truth or fact that I will not respond to them.
