I have met people who do not believe that we have free will. The thing about this stance is that believing this is self-contradictory.
The reason is this. If free will didn’t exist, and we happen to believe that there is free will, then we cannot choose otherwise because our will is not free to choose to believe that there is no free will.
Thus why do such people even bother to convince men of such a thing. The act of trying to convince a person that there is no free will is an acknowledgment that we have a free will. Because such a person is obviously appealing to our understanding so that we can see their view and choose to believe it.
