1 John 3:8
The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.
When Jesus prayed for His people on the night before His crucifixion, He said concerning us, “As You sent Me into the world, I have sent them into the world” (John 17:18). So we are sent to the same basic purpose He was—to destroy the works of the devil.
