    Have another verse that needs an explanation and why I would need the Jesus.

    Isa 55:7 “Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.”

    So is God saying HE will have mercy on the wicked and unrighteous when the…[Read more]

    “Judging the son of man for perceived unfairness”

    There is no “perceived unfairness”, I am reading what is written and call it deception. Please tell me how it’s justified to prevent his fellow brothers and sisters from hearing the truth and turning back to God to be forgiven. Please explain the “spirituality” of what Jesus said?…[Read more]

    You: “Because his relationship with God the Father is the exact same “way” we must approach and live with the God the Father. He showed us all “HOW” to have the right relationship with the Father, and it is the exact same as his is and was, a complete “Faith” And “LOVE”, Based relationship, even to the point of death if required .

    You: “But what you don’t you see, is that is exactly what Jesus did also, he turns us to God the Father in every thing he said and did. His whole life was for that very purpose.”

    Me: Unfortunately, it’s not what I don’t see; it’s was I do see. If Jesus was an “example” for us and how we are to go to God; why does Jesus say the only way to…[Read more]

    @Gene,

    I’m “cherry picking” nothing, I am reading the words on a page. Everywhere I look I am finding something that pushes me further from this man called Jesus and directly to God. Maybe I should find my “I believe button” and stop verifying what I have been taught.

    Read Mark 4:10-12, After Jesus tells the crowd a parable he tells the disci…[Read more]

    @Carmel,

    Of course if the religious leaders had killed Jesus is irrelevant to you; however, are you saying the “word of God” is irrelevant or it doesn’t fit your truth. Fact is the Jews were allowed to punish people under their laws and customs; but, to put someone to death, that had to go through the Roman governor. So if the leaders would hav…[Read more]

    @Jodi,

    You say I was brought up in a church full of lies; which “denomination”, which “church”, which “faith” has it correct? Where exactly should I go to be taught? If you say the spirit leads and teaches, we have a problem because everyone believes something different and all claiming it’s of the “spirit.”

    In John 2:22 the disciples believe…[Read more]

    Me: I have explained this to you a few times and posted links back to where I explained it. I have asked you who is speaking where in Is 52:13-53:12 and have offered my understanding of it. Yet, you keep going back to making Israel claiming to be the “suffering” servant and tha…[Read more]

    I said, “So we’re back to Jesus being God…false teaching!!”

    You respond, “Me: No, Jesus in the beginning was with (the God) AND was God.”

    Am I not understanding something here?!?!?

    @Carmel,

    You: “DT, Why did they take up stones to stone him?”

    Me: Please explain John 18:31 where the religious leaders say it wasn’t lawful for them to put anyone to death under Roman law. The leaders were going to stone Jesus in one place and in another they remember they can’t?!?! Something doesn’t make sense.

    Then you quote the exchange…[Read more]

    You: “Jesus simply was showing us how to stay focused on God, exactly as he did.”

    Me: Unfortunately this isn’t what Christianity is about and is why the old side differs from the new side. The old side says God loves his creation and if you go to HIM, admit your sin, turn from your sin, God will remember it no more. The new side says…[Read more]

    @Berean,

    So we’re back to Jesus being God…false teaching!!

    Did Jesus ever claim to be God, NOPE; what became the Catholics faith codified that in stone at the Counsel of Nicea and then almost 50 years later the “spirit” was added to the mix to create the “trinity” doctrine. History is your friend.

    @Danny,

    How exactly can I be disagreeing with God when HE says HE is the savior??! Again, when did our unchanging God change and pass “saviorship” to the “son”? Have you read Jonah?

    @Danny,

    That means there’s a contradiction between the OT and NT;  that means our unchanging God, changed; God calls himself savior in the OT, yet is unable to save in the NT. Have to wonder…

    I’ll ask again, what is the difference between the Jewish Messiah and the Christian Messiah or are they the same? Before you blurt out your rehearsed…[Read more]

    I could go on explaining myself until I am blue in the face; but, until you stop and listen, you will never hear. I could spend the next 20 minutes writing words; but, until you stop and look, you will never see. When you start verifying what you have been told is truth, then you will understand where I currently am.

    What you posted is “messianic Judaism”, a branch of “christianity” where Jews can keep their identity and customs, but follow the “rules” of the christian system. “Be Berean”; that is precious, gave me a good chuckle when I read it.
