Zeitgeist refuted – The Bible defended

Zeitgeist refuted

Zeitgeist is a documentary trilogy that claims to expose three biggest conspiracies in human history. The films in order of release are as follows: Zeitgeist: The Movie, Zeitgeist: Addendum and Zeitgeist: Moving Forward. The first film purports to expose the main conspiracies that keep humanity enslaved. Topics discusses are: Christianity, 9/11 attacks, and the Federal Reserve System. Refutation in this post is solely aimed at the first part, that of Christianity.

Many are not aware that the claims made about Christianity in this film are mostly right out lies, truth taken out of context, or are taken from unreliable sources. These lies are exposed in the videos below. The film states that Christianity is 100% derived from other religions and astronomical myth. In particular it claims that Jesus was merely the latest character in a long list of other messiahs. These characters all are supposedly called the son of God,with 12 disciples, performed miracles, died on Dec 25th, and rose from the dead…

Unfortunately, some Christians actually believed these claims and consequently lost their faith. These people were foolish as they didn’t bother to check out the sources for these claims perhaps because they wanted to believe what the film was saying. Maybe they were heading for a fallen state anyway or had a shallow faith to begin with and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. These people deserved to become deceived because they swallowed the claims made in the documentary as true and never checked out the claims. If you are one of these people, perhaps this exposé will make you think and lead you to you rediscovering your faith. If so, at least you will have learned a valuable lesson, that all Believers should always check things out just as the apostles Paul and John told us:

1 Thessalonians 5:21
But examine everything carefully; hold fast to that which is good;

1 John 4:1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

I would also encourage you to not only check out the false claims in this film, but if you decided to renew your faith in God, to also check that out too. We should always question and test things to see if they are indeed truth. Faith in God is not blind faith, rather it is the evidence of things not seen. You need to experience God to know him.

Now to exposing the lies in the first part of the Zeitgeist documentary.  Criticism of the film overall is widespread among scholars and those in the media. You can google this yourself, but I have listed three criticisms below for your convenience:

Ivor Tossell in the Globe and Mail cited Zeitgeist as an example of how modern conspiracy theories become popular. He said:

“The film is an interesting object lesson on how conspiracy theories get to be so popular…. It’s a driven, if uneven, piece of propaganda, a marvel of tight editing and fuzzy thinking. Its on-camera sources are mostly conspiracy theorists, co-mingled with selective eyewitness accounts, drawn from archival footage and often taken out of context. It derides the media as a pawn of the International Bankers, but produces media reports for credibility when convenient. The film ignores expert opinion, except the handful of experts who agree with it. And yet, it’s compelling. It shamelessly ploughs forward, connecting dots with an earnest certainty that makes you want to give it an A for effort.”

Chris Forbes a senior lecturer in Ancient History of Macquarie University criticized the film stating that it has no basis in serious scholarship or ancient sources, and that it relies on amateur sources that recycle frivolous ideas. He stated:

It is extraordinary how many claims it makes which are simply not true”.

Film producer Jane Chapman at the University of Lincoln, said that Zeitgeist uses implicit deception and is comically” self-defeating. She said that it is a fast-paced assemblage of agitprop, an example of unethical film-making.

Below you will find Part 1 of Zeitgeist: The Movie which covers the subject of Christianity. The videos that follow completely debunk the claims made in this video.

When I first watched the Zeitgeist movie many years ago, I knew that this was going to influence many and even create a movement. Well this has happened as you are probably aware.

I believe that this movement could help lead to a NWO.

I will post a video from one of the founders of the movement followed by the Zeitgeist video itself.

    T8,

Some of what you posted is false and comes from either a dishonest or ignorant source.  There is no evidence that I have heard of that Mithra, in any of his various incarnations, was either born on December 25 or had 12 apostles.  He was born of a rock and not a virgin.

    That source is the movie.

Carl Sagon's Contact and other media has inspired a religion.

Exactly kerwin is that not the point of what I am posting.
My first post is not affirming or agreeing with the videos to follow and the fact that the last video has the words refuted in it, means that it refutes the 3 videos above it.

Did you think I was posting all this because it was truth?
    Clearly I am exposing it.

Just doing some maintenance and stumbled across this thread.

I noticed two things. The first was that Kerwin didn’t read the topic correctly.

The second was something I noticed when I had a short look at the video ‘Zeitgeist Religion’. It says in that video that the Three Kings that gave gifts to baby Jesus are three stars in Orion’s Belt (I think). It makes the argument that the whole text is astrological. However, the Bible doesn’t mention three kings in that story. Maybe it is mentioned in Zeitgeist Refuted by Chris White which I watched I also watched a bit of just now. That video does a very good job at refuting the disingenuous information and right-out lies that are prevalent in  the Zeitgeist  movement and movies.
