Ok, i tryed to understand where sin came from, and why would God be so mean as to through us all in hell, what a wicked thought. And i got an answer, it was more all less that God is the only form of goodness, and that all hell will be is the “The non existence of God (goodeness)”. Well i personally agree with all you principles on Sin, something bad cant ever be worth doing, and if it is all bad then ok, stop it. BUT IN THAT CASE WHY IS SIN SO ENJOYABLE?
when i take trugs i feel like i am in heaven, i though sin was the lack of all good, then why is it so nice to us???

First of all I want to say that this is a good question because your question is honest and I believe that you are indeed looking for truth.

The simple answer to why sin is enjoyable is because you, me and all of us have a sinful nature. Those of us that belong to God also have a righteous nature too. So we have the option of choosing to live for the Spirit or the flesh. Ultimately what we choose determines our destiny.
If we choose to live for the Spirit, then we will one day live in perfection with no more sinful body to weigh us down. We will be given a new body that cannot sin, so we will be complete.

    1 Corinthians 15:42
    So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable;

    Galatians 6:8
The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.

Now think of the word ENJOY, it literally means to have joy and joy comes from God right?
So if you think about it, to enjoy anything in the first place is originally from God.
This is why hell is a terribe place. Because hell is the absence of God's goodness. So there is no joy. One cannot enjoy anything, even sin because the ability to enjoy anything is gone. So what activities do unrepentant sinners do in hell, well the answer is certainly not 'enjoying sin' as some think. That is impossible because joy doesn't exist there.

Now you mention Drugs. Well first of all natural drugs are made by God himself, and have a number of good uses, such as dulling pain and curing disease and sickness, or at least making a sick person more comfortable. So if God created plants that produce drugs, then we cannot say they are evil can we. Even alcohol is considered to be good in moderation.

    See (1 Timothy 5:23)
Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.

Now many man-made drugs are used to help people too, but if taken recreationally they usually cause a lot of harm. Drugs often just release chemicals that we already have in our bodies. Marijuana for example makes our bodies produce a lot of Endorphins which are renowned worldwide as anti-stress hormones that relieve pain naturally. They are normally naturally secreted to remove stress or pain when you have pain or stress. In other words, they block the signal of pain to the nervous system. This effect that reduces the pain, causes a euphoric effect to occur. Now even Marijuana can be used correctly for those in pain and was actually used by ancient cultures when woman gave birth for example. If however you take Marijuana regularly as a recreational drug. What happens is your body produces a lot of Endorphins which causes the High, but after the effect has worn off, your body actually produces less Endorphins naturally afterward, which explains the depressed feeling one may experience when they are not under the influence. This causes some people to take more marijuana to get the high back, and then these people end up in a vicious circle of depression and high. But naturally speaking with no encouragement from drugs, your body will produce the correct amount of Endorphins and you should be more stable and happy overall. In other words everytime you light up, you are really taking an over-draft that you will have to pay back in the form of less Endorphins ie; depression.

About your question “why do drugs feel so good and yet only good can come from God”, well the answer is in the question. Good comes from God, and God gives that good out in many different forms such as Endorphins in your own body or whatever. We can artificially induce those God created chemicals in our body, which will have long-term harmful effects or we can choose the benefits of letting these things happen naturally, the way God intended.

So why is sin enjoyable? Well all the ingredients such as joy, sex, drugs or whatever are actually from God and are for us to enjoy or are there to heal us. The sin is not so much in the indulgence but the reason for doing it. Eg Sex in Marriage is a gift from God. A drug or medicine to heal is a gift from God. But if we have sex out of marriage that is a sin. Should God somehow make sex out of marriage not enjoyable, because that is not really logical. Same with drugs. They help us at the right time, but should God remove the high if we use it in a recreational sense. No the high is there so you don't have to feel the pain regardless of why you use it. Alcohol is the same. Should God remove the relaxing effect if someone decides to drink too much?

Remember that all things can be used for good or evil. A typical cliche here is a knife. We can use it to cut vegetables or we can use it to kill someone. Is the knife evil? No, evil comes from the heart of man. This is why it says in Colossians 2:20-22

20 Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules:
21″Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”?
22These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings.

I have more to say on this subject, but I will put it in another post. Thanks.

I thank you greatly for your answer, i have rarely had such a clear and logical answer to my questions. To be honest i recon that all my questions on Christianity and God have been more or less answered. However there is one thing i have yet to fully grasp, and that is Conversion, which i am considering at the moment.
Now what i am about to say may sound like an excuse to carry on in sin, but trust me, my heart is sincere:

Now, from what i have understood of convertion, there is a repentance from the sinner, a belive in Jesus and an acceptance from God which follows through with the help of the holy spirit in stopping the sins that we find hard to stop, and a relationship with God which results in a profound peace and the certainty of Heaven. Now who would refuse such a gift? Certainly not me, espeatialy as im promised to be happy if i do (the goal of everyone in life).
Now here is where lies my problem:
    – I personally find it very hard to belive, and am far from fully believing the bible (can help it)
    – I am not anywhere near repentance since, the way i have run my life is what i allways thought best.
    – I will never be able to stop doing 70% of the things i love doing because they are sinfull; by myself, nor will i fell like stopping them (unless of a miracle)

Now after that, im prepared to become a christian if God can answer those problems. I think that if i pray every night that God would show himself to me, and read his word (for an answer) then all i can do is wait. In otherwords ive done my bit, the rest is Gods work.
    Am i right???
I am ovioulsy going to carry on doing what i like(sin) until something happens, and if it doesnt i cant be to blame(despite the fact that im a sinner, cos of adam and eve).
Does that sound a bit proud? is that right?
Because if i never get touched, or God doesnt respond then it isnt my falt but eve’s.
Thank you for listenning, may the real God bless you.

the reason why we have a problem with sin has to do with God's authority. God has no authority over him. So this is the problem, God created man in his own likeness and image. So man because he is created in the image of God wants to excercise authority just like God does. so if man obeys God, he stops his image, like, God authoriy. but when man excercise his image, like God authority apart from God (sin) he finds pleasure because he is doing what ever he wants just like God does what ever he wants. that is why adam and eve fell because satan played on God's word saying to eve ” you will be 'like' God” and that is why we fall. read it in genesis for yourself

    thanks

in a hurry, i hope i made sense, trying to get it out of my head

    Hi and welcome mancub,
I get your point and it makes sense.
We were to obey, and not work according to our own understanding but chose the second.
The mind of man is a trap, and so the scripture about the so called wise of this world being actually more foolish becomes true.

Yeah! Why did God create us with free will. Would it be to see who loves Him?

….the ? is where did sin come from. Sin is not a word per say as you know but a force a will if you may. when Adam and Eve ate that fruit it open our minds to a dimension God never intended man and woman to live in and im talking about the evil side the evil inclination. remember it says that Satan put it into the heart of Judas to betray Jesus will here is evidence that WE are in between two deminions the Evil and the Good . READ ROMANS Paul talks about this .its a tug of war between God and Satan.

Hi people,My name Kostas and I am a Orthodox Christian.I have been Baptisted since birth but only really tried to follow Gods way since two years ago and to understand life and were I went wrong. As all of us I sin and there has been a few sins that I have been doing since birth and even though I try hard now to follow Gods ways and believe ,I still turn back to these old habits.Thats it isnt it that they are habits. If you look at most of the things in our lives they are mostly habits and I believe thats how the devil catches us in his net.I have noticed a few things on my journey, one is that if you keep your mine on God,that means to keep praying, reading scripture and so forth its helps massively to stop old ways Try not to think to much about the things you do that are wrong because the more you focus your attention on something the stronger it becomes thats why you just watch and pray but dont do your head in what you just did that is bad.If you notice when you sin you feel bad and you say to yourself ,oh I cant pray now because I just sinned and I am not worthy to ask God and pray to him for forgiveness but thats were the Devil comes in with his tricks to make you think that way.You must do the opposite if you want to stay focused on God and for him to be there for you when you fall because you will fall many times till you reach your goal.I read once that a very Holy elder of the dessert said once he was asked what he does in his cell all day and he said “I pray and I fall ,I pray and I fall and thats how it is always”.
The reason I believe and from my own experience little as it is that you will feel the difference between sinning and turning to God ,you will say” I much prefer when I m close to God how its feels and how my life is compared to when I turned from him and sin”.God allows this to happen for you to make the chose and see the difference. You will find Gods way is always best. God Bless you all and I hope to chat again! :)

    Hi K and welcome,
    Do you remember your baptism?
Did you believe in God and His son at the time?
Did you know what you were committing yourself to?
Did you repent and call on Jesus name?
Were you baptised in the name of Jesus Christ?
Did you ask the Father for the Spirit?

If not then you have not been baptised yet and you need to follow the instructions of Peter at Pentecost and seek reconciliation with God through rebirth. What you have received is Satan's deception. You like millions of others, have been conned into falsehood and need to seek true baptism.

You need to be follow Jesus in rebirth of water and the Spirit through your own choice. Then we can look at how you need to wash the dust of the street every day from your feet as we all still sin.

Isa 23:9 The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, [and] to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

Isa 23:10 Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: [there is] no more strength.

Isa 23:14 Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.
Isa 23:15 ¶ And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.
Isa 23:16 Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.
Isa 23:17 And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall commit fornication with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

Isa 23:18 And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing

    Hi K,
Baptism is a calling out to God in faith for the inner washing of our cup by the shed blood of the lamb of God. We are buried with him in his death that we may follw him into the resurrection to life. We must be born again-Jesus said so.

Stragers forgiven and also to be excepted into Israels inheritance

Jer 11:18 ¶ And the LORD hath given me knowledge [of it], and I know [it]: then thou shewedst me their doings.
Jer 11:19  But I [was] like a lamb [or] an ox [that] is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered.
Jer 11:20  But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.
Jer 11:21 ¶ Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the name of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand:
Jer 11:22  Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine:
Jer 11:23  And there shall be no remnant of them: for I will bring evil upon the men of Anathoth, [even] the year of their visitation.

    Hi charity,
The Son of God saw the sin within the whitewashed sepulphres, sin he had come to cleanse them from, but to which they were unaware, and by which they had been deceived and even become enamoured of unto death.
