If my son is the spitting image of me, then no one is going to think my son is me (his Father) right?
So why is it then that the one who is called image of God, who is the son of God, and the firstborn of all creation is considered God as well?
Surely being the image of God means you are another, but like God right?
Man was made in the image of God and no one should think based on this, that man is a manufactured God. Rather, we are considered children of God and sons of God at best. So it is with Jesus who is the image of God.
Jesus Christ is the image of God. He is the son of God. He is the one that God made both Lord and Christ. Why is that not enough to believe as to who Jesus is. Why do we need the additional third century doctrine of the Trinity too, which is really a contradiction of him being the image, son, and the one that God made lord and christ.
