Zech 14
3 Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.
6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark:
7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the Lord, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.

Zechariah 14:20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD'S house shall be like the bowls before the altar.

Rev 21:21 The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of pure gold, like transparent glass.
Rev 21:22 I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
Rev 21:23 The city does not need the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and the Lamb is its lamp.

Hi J42:I know that is what is traditionally taught, but the Hebrew states Jehovah, the LORD, not the Lord, and I cannot seem to reconcile this view with the rest of the scriptures.
If it does refer to Jesus, then it cannot refer to the time he is coming for the church, because the scripture states that he is coming with the clouds, and that we will meet him in the air, and the scriptures states in Zechariah 14 after this statement that then the LORD will come and all of the saints with him, or it can mean and “all of the Holy Angels with him”.
When the Lord comes for the church, all who are remaining at that time, will have received the mark of the beast, and there is no more forgiveness, once this happens. And it is doubtful that anyone will survive the seven last plagues, any way. At that time also, Satan will be bound for 1000 years. There will not be anyone alive on earth at that time.
Also, Psalm 18 states this:

He bowed the heavens also, and came down: and darkness was under his feet.And so, this is also talking about Jehovah, it cannot be Jesus at this point. He had not been born.
Also, when the abomination of desolation is set up the scripture states this about the inhabitants of Judah:

17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house:

19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!
20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.
Is the following what these verses of scripture are describing. It is the same thing?

23 Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.

And so, these are the difficulties that I am having in reconciling what is being traditionally taught about the time frame of Zechariah 14, and that it is the feet of Jesus that will touch the mount of olives.

Why do you say that ps 18 applies to the time before the birth of Jesus?Surely it applies to his resurrection and to those in him who are taken up later.
Of course from his anointing God is in him forever so what relates to him also relates to God.Ps 18
16 He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.17 He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.
18 They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.
19 He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.
