T8:  There is no up in the universe. IF there was and actual up based on up and down, then in space you wouldn’t float and then ask yourself why the earth disk doesn’t fall down by default and why would everything fall down anyway.

Interesting, because there is a clear and definitive “up” and “down” in the scriptures.  Another case of men knowing more than God, I guess.

T8:  But I guess you will say nothing falls, it is the disk that propels upward. But why would upward motion lead to you sticking to the disk.

There is no serious flat earther who believes that tripe from the controlled opposition organization known as “The Flat Earth Society”.  It is there to mislead people just beginning to look into the topic.  They mix completely absurd claims (like the earth rising at a rate that equals gravity) with a few rational tidbits.  But the intent is that people thinking about checking out flat earth walk away thinking, “These guys are nuts!”  So the site serves the purpose it was designed to serve.

The earth isn’t rising.  God built it on foundational pillars, and it is fixed and stationary.  What’s under the pillars?  Probably more of the “deep” that God formed the heavens and earth out of.  How do the pillars rest on the “deep”?  Scripture says God hangs the earth on nothing.  I don’t know the answers to these deep things of God… only what He has shared with us through His written word.

    Our moving atmosphere

Again, use discernment. What on earth would make you believe such blatant nonsense? Does a speeding car cut through the air… or take all the air molecules along with it due to friction?

Air is also matter, and it is pulled towards earth’s centre and rotates with the earth. A balloon is also attracted towards the centre of Earth but it overcomes that by being lighter than the air around it. It moves with the Earth’s atmosphere while still being subject to other forces like wind etc. Does the balloon just zip away at 1500 km/h? If not, then it too demonstrates that the atmosphere is moving with the Earth. But yes, I can see that a Flat Earth model also works when describing such things as would an inverse earth where people live on the inside of a rotating globe.

Okay, good to know that there are different viewpoints within the Flat Earth community just as you get with any community.

    Up and down

Interesting, because there is a clear and definitive “up” and “down” in the scriptures. Another case of men knowing more than God, I guess.

There is up and down regards to being closer to God and further away and God’s ways are higher than ours. Heaven is generally considered up and Hell below. Not a physical up and down in the whole Universe. Up and down implies gravity which is what you are arguing against right?

    Ancient map showing Antarctica

Does this ancient map from the 1530s show Antarctica? While this should not have been known, it was drawn by Ottoman admiral and cartographer Piri Reis who claimed that his map was based from an earlier map of Christopher Columbus as a source, as well as ten Arab sources, and four Indian maps sourced from the Portuguese. An interesting mystery or perhaps a lucky guess? That said, it doesn’t appear to depict a flat earth and obviously the older source maps do not either.

    Hi Mike,

    Men know more than God?

You flatter yourself if you think you speak for God.

    Hi Mike,

Did you only hear the man Jesus speak in Jn 2.19?

Did you not know the one God has sent speaks the words of God?

    Hi,

Mike now looks at everything with a skeptical eye and decides what is rational.

Quite a lonely place I would think.

Nick: “Has not God rather chosen to reveal His nature through the wonders of creation?Rom 1.20 f Are you not limiting His revelation rather to what is written and frustrating His plan?”

Are you suggesting that He hates it when we take Him at His Word? That would be a radical position to me.

Nick. “Men know more than God? You flatter yourself if you think you speak for God.”

Didn’t you just say that men by observing nature can know about the creation? If those observations are contrary to the written Word, which is what we have been pointing out – but you are arguing with us, then are not men neccessarily saying that they know more than God?

However, if we support what is in the written Word how then are we being accused for “limiting” God?

The answer of course, is that any revelation from nature can not contradict the written Word and be considered true.

Mike….So the 13 scriptures i quoted for Dig4truth, which by the way i have yet to see a commit on, you also then must believe JESUS RAISED HIMSELF FROM THE DEAD, SO those 13 scriptures must not be in your bible either, or are you simply trying to incourage your co-hart in this FE thing, right, well anyway that makes sense, why you can’t seem to see the truth in this FE thing EITHER.

Peace and love to you and yours. ……gene

This doesn’t make any sense to a Flat Earther

Why 11 babies have been born in Antarctica.

Gravity is a non-tangible thing right?
